In today’s guide, we’re covering Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn Family Condition Sapper Quest. This quest takes you to Cerith Estate, Johara’s childhood home, to do a ritual that may save Luca from his curse.
Go to Cerith Estate In Family Condition Quest
The Family Condition Sapper Quest can be picked up from Johara in First Anchor. After speaking to her, the option “Travel to Cerith Estate” appears. Select it. Once you arrive at Cerith Estate, speak to Johara, who is straight ahead. She tells you that this estate is the place where she and Luca grew up.
Follow her to the estate. While she tries to reverse the ritual, she tasks you with finding a way inside.
Find a Way into the Mansion
From Johara, turn right and head to the ramp. Run up it and jump to get to the other side. You’ll have to jump mid-air one or two times to make sure you get to the other side. Climb the rock on your left and go up the ladder. There are a set of stairs at the top, on your left, that lead to a door.
Once inside, you’ll have to find two ritual ingredients. Make the first right. Run past the enemy and down the hall on the left until you reach the foyer. Use the box on the right side of the room to climb to the second level. Turn right and go down the path before making another right. There is a door at the end of the path with a purple symbol on it. The first ingredient is inside, on the right, marked by a gold beam.
From this room, go back down the hallway and turn right. Make another right and go up the stairs. Turn right and make an immediate right. Jump over the gap to get to the next set of stairs. The second ingredient is at the top. Pick it up and return to Johara
Breach the Basement In Family Condition Quest Flintlock
After speaking with Johara, you have to find a way into the basement. From Johara’s location, head back towards the mansion. When you reach the top of the first set of stairs, turn right and jump off the same ramp as before. Instead of climbing the ladder, keep going straight and turn left at the Lodestone. The entrance to the basement is on your left, but you need to breach it.
Keep following the path and there is an explosive at the end, on the left. Return to the basement entrance, set the explosive down, and shoot it from a distance.
Find the Ritual’s Focus
Once you’re inside the basement, turn right and then left into the large room. There is a shaft on the right side of the room. Getting to the next level can be a little tricky. Fall down the shaft for about three seconds and then jump towards the second opening, which will be on your right, as you’re passing it. The ritual’s focus is straight ahead.
Find a Way Out of the Basement
Now that you have what you need, you have to find a way back to the surface. From where you just picked up the ritual’s focus, go to the stairs on the left side of the room. You’ll be charged by multiple enemies and you’ll have to fight your way through. Follow the stairs until you reach the top and then go up three sets of ladders. Climb the rock at the top, then the wooden platform on your right. Turn around and jump across to the next platform. The exit is on your left.
There are many enemies in the area that you’ll have to fight. Once they’re defeated, return to Johara and leave Cerith Estate. At the end of the quest, you’re rewarded with an epic pauldron called the Warlock’s Pauldron.
