Hogwarts Legacy – The Great Hall (Door Puzzle)
There are many door puzzles that can be found within Hogwarts Legacy. These door puzzles often have numbered diagrams on them, and once unlocked, they often hold treasure chests all waiting to be inspected and claimed.
Each of these locked doors all generally follow the same rule in order to unlock them. This rule usually sees us having to work out what each icon or picture that resides around the door actually represent. From there we then need to determine how to make the target number that is on the diagram that is printed on the door.
Once we have successfully managed to work all of that out we can then locate the dice on the wall that is connected to the door. These dice can be rolled and flipped around, allowing you to choose the correct one that is required to unlock the door.
(Note: The pictures that are located around the door are replacement for numbers. However, keep in mind that these numbers go in a clockwise direction. Also these numbers start from 0)
This specific door puzzle is located within the The Great Hall of the Hogwarts Castle. It requires us to reach the main target numbers of both 24 and 14

Okay here we have two diagrams with our target numbers inside. The top one has a target number of ‘24‘, whilst the bottom diagram has a target number of ‘14‘. Though we need to solve them both, we will prioritise the bottom diagram first.
This diagram wants us to reach the number ‘14‘ and it has already given us some numbers to play with. This includes the number ’11’ and a picture of a ‘fluffy animal?’. Okay, let us start off by working out what this ‘fluffy animal’ represents.
To do this we need to focus our attention on the pictures around the door. These pictures go in a clockwise direction. Also, the very first picture represents the number ‘0’. This will immediately tell us what number our ‘furry friend’ represents. The answer is ‘0’. As it is the first picture that goes around the door.
So since we already have the number ’11’ given to us. This means we need to make the number ‘3’ in order to reach our target number of ‘14‘.
To do this, again, look at the pictures around the door. The answer is staring at us. Its simple!

‘Cough’ it is the three-headed serpent. So roll the appropriate dice a total of twice. This will give us our serpent. See I said it would be simple!
Now on to the next one and the same method applies. Yeah, I’ll see you later. You know the answer. The door puzzles are so easy once you know how to solve them.
For those that might still be struggling. Then shame on you. Were you even reading my delightful bit of information?
Okay, well I’ll explain it again as we try to solve the next diagram. Which has us trying to reach the target of ‘24‘.
For this one we have already been given the number ‘7’ and what looks like a picture of ‘Medusa?’ Who knows? I’ll just call it that for reference. Now we need to work out what number ‘Medusa’ represents. We can do this by focusing our attention on the door.
The pictures, as mentioned before, go in a clockwise direction and start at the number ‘0’. This means that our wonderful ‘Medusa’ represents the number ‘9’. So that is our current equation 7 + 9. We now need to work out the rest of it, in order to reach our target number of ‘24‘.

The answer to this is an ‘8’ as 7 + 9 + 8 = 24. Our target number. The picture that represents the number ‘8’ is a spider. Creepy.
So head to our wonderful last remaining dice and roll it a total of ‘five’ times. This will give us our spider. This will also solve our door puzzle.
Now that the door has been removed we can then go inside and collect our treasure chests. For this one we will get both the Telescope and Spring Ivy Scarf
