Boosters are an important part of Helldivers 2 Missions, but are discussed much less than armor or Stratagems. In this guide, I’ll help you understand what Boosters are, explain each of the ones available to you, and how you can use them in your Missions.

What are Boosters in Helldivers II
Boosters are similar to Modules, but they apply to your entire squad. Each booster comes with an effect that improves your squad’s survival abilities. The Boosters you own can be viewed in the Armory alongside your weapons and armor. This screen will show the Booster’s symbol, it’s name, and a description of what it does.

All Boosters in Helldivers II
There are a total of seven Boosters in Helldivers. The first six can be purchased from the regular Warbond battlepass:
- Hellpod Space Optimization – Helldivers come out of their Hellpods with fully-stocked ammo, grenades, and stims.
- Vitality Enhancement – All Helldivers in a squad will resist being injured.
- UAC Recon – Increases the effective radar range for all Helldivers.
- Stamina Enhancement – Increases Stamina Capacity and Stamina Recovery Rate for all Helldivers.
- Muscle Enhancement – Makes it easier for Helldivers to travel across different terrains.
- Increased Reinforcement Budget – Gives a Helldiver squad more Reinforcement Stratagems.
The final Booster is found in the premium battlepass. This makes it the most expensive, seeing as the battlepass requires 1,000 Super Credits and you’ll be required to spend Medals to unlock the page the Booster is on. However, the Booster itself is worth the money:
- Flexible Reinforcement Budget – Reduces the cooldown time for Reinforcement Stratagems once they have been depleted.
I would recommend owning at least four Boosters. This will allow you to always have one equipped regardless of what your teammates own.
How to Equip Boosters in Helldivers II
Boosters can be selected before a Mission on the same screen as Stratagems. To equip a booster, tap on the empty hexagon to the right of your selected Stratagems. This will open up a tab containing all of the Boosters you own. Select one to equip it.

When equipping Boosters, there are a few factors to consider. Firstly, players cannot stack the effects of the same Booster. When one player equips a Booster, the rest are banned from selecting that Booster for the Mission. With this in mind, players can stack the effects of different Boosters to create a much stronger squad.
How to Choose A Booster for a Mission
When deciding on a Booster for a Mission, keep in mind the type of Mission, the enemies, and the difficulty level. If the Mission involves a lot of movement, like destroying nests or factories, the Stamina or Muscle Enhancement Boosters would be a solid pick. If you’re playing more defensive Missions, you would probably benefit more by disregarding the Muscle Enhancement Boosters.
When it all comes down to it, the best universal Boosters would probably be the Hellpod Space Optimization Booster, the Vitality Enhancement Booster, or one of the Reinforcement Boosters. If you’re not sure which to take, I would recommend choosing one of those.
