This Indiana Jones and the Great Circle guide shows the locations of all the Vatican City Adventure Books. These items allow Indy to improve his abilities. There are several books in the Vatican City and some of them are pretty well hidden. Let’s see where we can find them!
Vatican City Adventure Books – Fitness
There is a total of five (5) Fitness related books to be found and collected in Vatican City. These include Pep I, Cutman I, Climbing Ace and more..
Pep I
Effect: Boosts stamina regeneration rate.
Cost: 275 AP.
How to Find: Search the tent in the Belvedere Courtyard.
Cutman I
Effect: Improves HP regeneration rate.
Cost: 250 AP.
How to Find: Loot from the chest in the Sistine Chapel during the Secret of Secrets mystery quest.
Climbing Ace I
Effect: Improves climbing speed and reduces stamina consumption.
Cost: 100 AP.
How to Find: Climb the scaffold in the alley next to the Pharmacy and find the book in a crate near a door.
Iron Grip I
Effect: Extends enemy grab duration.
Cost: 225 AP.
How to Find: Check the crates in the Apostolic Palace, as you enter from the sewers during The Mad Priest fieldwork quest.
Moxie I, III, and III
Effect: Add one, two, and three extra stamina bars.
Cost: 5/10/15 Medicine Bottles.
How to Find: Buy from the Pharmacy for Medicine Bottles.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle – Survival and Packing Vatican City Adventure Books
There is also a total of five (5) Survival and Packing related Adventure books to be found and collected within the Vatican City.
Hardboiled I
Effect: Combines two HP bars into one, increasing the effectiveness of bandages.
Cost: 225 AP.
How to Find: Buy from the Underground Boxing Ring for 720 Italian Lire. You need the Blackshirt disguise.
Lucky Hat I
Effect: Indiana picks up his famous hat and gets back up after a knockdown.
Cost: 125 AP.
How to Find: Loot it from the desk in the Captain’s Office in Castle Sant’Angelo.
Shaping Up I, II, and III
Effect: Add one, two, and three extra HP bars.
Cost: 5/10/15 Medicine Bottles.
How to Find: Buy from the Pharmacy for Medicine Bottles.
Fruit Bag
Effect: Doubles the number of fruits you can carry.
Cost: 250 AP.
How to Find: After the meeting with Gina, use the zipline to reach the balcony, where you find the book on a table.
Sawbones I
Effect: You can carry one extra bandage.
Cost: 250 AP.
How to Find: Buy from the Underground Boxing Ring for 400 Italian Lire. You need the Blackshirt disguise.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle – Brawling Adventure Books
There is a total of three (3) Brawling Adventure Books to be both found and collected. This includes Punch Out and Brawler
Punch Out I
Effect: Restores stamina after Indy knocks out an enemy.
Cost: 25 AP
How to Find: Grab it from the crate in the Guard House Key room in Castle Sant’Angelo.
Brawler I
Effect: Improves melee damage.
Cost: 200 AP
How to Find: Loot it from a crate in the Sant’Angelo tunnel that leads to the Village Steps.
Brawler II
Effect: Further improves melee damage.
Cost: 400 AP.
How to Find: Grab it from the tent in the Belvedere Courtyard.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle – Vatican City Adventure Books Combat
There is also a further three (3) Combat related Adventure Books to be found and, of course, collected. These include Splinter Smash, Throttle and Street Scrapper
Splinter Smash
Effect: The last hit with an improvised weapon deals extra damage.
Cost: 300 AP.
How to Find: Loot it from the chest in the tent in the Belvedere Courtyard.
Throttle
Effect: Indy can knock out unaware light and medium-sized enemies with the whip.
Cost: 200 AP.
How to Find: After obtaining Giuliana’s Key at the end of the A Nun in Trouble fieldwork, return to Borgia Tower and cross the gap using the whip to reach a locked room. Unlock it with the key and enter the room on the right to find the book on the desk.
Street Scrapper I
Effect: Melee weapons deal extra damage.
Cost: 250 AP.
How to Find: Open the chest in the locked cellar during the A Savage Discovery fieldwork quest.
