How to Eavesdrop on the Villagers During the Crimson Desert Bared Fang Quest
The Bared Fang quest is part of the Morning Mist sub-chapter in Chapter 7, Homecoming. It automatically starts after the Trust Lost quest, so don’t worry about missing it. The mission introduces the Crimson Desert eavesdrop mechanic, but the tutorial lacks important information on how to actually perform this action.
How to Eavesdrop in Crimson Desert
The first objective of the Bared Fang quest is to listen to the Beighen villagers’ conversation. The eavesdrop tutorial will tell you to press L1 to spy on other people’s conversations. What it neglects to tell you is that you also have to appear inconspicuous while performing this action. You have to lean against a building or a wall to be able to spy on people.
Approach the marked location, ignore the window, and go around the corner of the building. Lean against the back wall, next to the barrel, and hold L1. Wait for a bit and the villagers will start talking. Notice the question mark progress bar, saying “Leaning in Progress”. Once the progress bar is full, this objective will be marked as complete.
How to Contact the Secret Organization and Complete the Crimson Desert Bared Fang Quest
The next part of the quest requires you to find a way to contact the secret organization. Follow the quest marker and speak with the guard. Here are the conversation options that you must choose during the dialogue:
- The Truth of the Underground Storage.
- Secret Society’s Base – Lie.
- Mysterious Faction within Beighen.
- Cancel the conversation.
Notice the new Crimson Desert Bared Fang quest objective, requiring you to find a clue about the mysterious faction. Head to the marked location and lean against the wall to listen to the villagers. You can move the log out of the way or stand on it.
Once the objective is complete, return to the guard and select these dialogue options:
- Mysterious Faction within Beighen.
- Blue Fangs – Lie.
- Leader of the Blue Fangs.
- Cancel the conversation.
Now, you must find a clue about the leader of the Blue Fangs. Go to the marked location and lean against the back wall. The eavesdrop spot is between the crack in the wall and the crates.
Once you’ve heard the conversation, go back to the guard and select the following dialogue options:
- Leader of the Blue Fangs.
- Torstein – Lie.
The Crimson Desert Bared Fang quest ends after the conversation.
