The Crimson Desert Black Dye is an item that allows you to change the color of your equipment. The merchant who sells the Black Dye is unlocked at the end of a lengthy quest chain.

How to Unlock the Crimson Desert Black Dye Merchant
The quests that unlock the Black Dye merchant are optional side missions, so it’s easy to miss them. The two quest chains you must complete are:
- Raiders in Muiquun.
- Muiquun’s Black Market.
How to Liberate Muiquun and Start the Black Market Quest
The Raiders in Muiquun quest chain starts in the City of Tommaso in the Tashkalp Territory.
Follow the quest marker to reach Muiquun. You must then defeat the Mistcloaked Owls enemies and liberate the settlement. Once the settlement is free, return to the guard in Tommaso to complete the Raiders in Muiquun quest. You can now travel to Muiquun and start the Muiquun’s Black Market quest that will eventually unlock the Crimson Desert Black Dye merchant.
The villagers you must spy on are on the southeastern side of Muiquun. Position yourself close to the wall and listen to what they are talking about.
The next part of the quest requires you to find the location of the wagon. Follow the quest marker and talk to the fence, the NPC sitting on the crate next to the cart.
The quest will update with a new objective.
How to Unlock the Back Alley Shop and Buy Black Dye in Crimson Desert
The next objective requires you to get on the wagon. Unlike the previous tasks, this one doesn’t have a map marker. Mark the location of the fence and return to the City of Tommaso.
From Tommaso, follow the road to the fence’s location and you will spot a wagon along the path. The wagon may appear in different spots, but you will find it as long as you stick to the road. Board the wagon and return it to the fence. Deliver the wagon and he will ask you to bring him two more wagons.
Just like the first wagon, these two are also not marked on the map. Explore the roads near the fence’s location and Tommaso, and you will eventually find two more wagons. Steal the wagons and take them to the fence. The Muiquun’s Black Market quest will end once you deliver the two wagons. Use a fast travel location or rest at a bonfire and then return to Muiquun, where you will find a new merchant.
Interact with the NPC to access the Back Alley Shop that sells the Crimson Desert Black Dye.
