The Trace of Shadows Puzzle in Crimson Desert is completed during the Trace of Shadows quest. It involves tracking a thief to two spots and finding what clues they left.
How to Start the Trace of Shadows Puzzle in Crimson Desert
Once you finish Traces of Intruder, talk to Graham Alfonso and others to get this quest. You have to go to Three Saints’ Falls and Duskwood.
Track the Traces at Duskwood
Head to the marker on the map. You’ll find this checkerboard with white and black stones all across the area.
The stone you want to look for is in the last two rows. It’s a white stone with a black mark in the middle. Lift it to get the clue underneath.
Track The Traces At Three Saint’s Falls
The next place to go is Three Saints’ Falls. Go to the spot on the map so you can find the second clue. It’s a little more straightforward than the last one.
When you find the bridge, don’t cross it. You want to look underneath the bridge, where you will find a couple of dirt mounds around the area. Dig them up. Eventually, you will find the thief’s clue buried in one of these mounds.
With the two clues now in your inventory (make sure to read them), you can go ahead and head back to Oakenshield Manor, where you can finish this part of the quest.
Head back to The Oakenshield Manor
Go back to OakenShield Manor to finish the Traces of Shadow Puzzle and quest in Crimson Desert. You need to go talk with Garham Alfonso and Alan Serkis. Once you go upstairs to speak with them, there will be a cutscene. While you will be sent out on another mission, it will be the final part of this questline.
