The Soul Codex in AION 2 is an upgrade material and considered a special resource. It is a Soul Binding Tome, which increases the binding rate of bound gear and equipment. It is a necessary artifact if you plan on successfully upgrading your overall gear’s base stats. Increasing your character proficiency and it is essentially when looking for a 100% binding rate. Be warned though, any successful bound gear will be a permanent choice as you cannot sell or trade it later.

What Is The Soul Codex In Aion 2?
In Aion 2 the Soul Codex is an upgrade material that players can use to increase the binding rate of any previously found and collected bound gear. In-game players can usually unlock certain gear from reward boxes such as the Manastone reward boxes for example, many of these will reward players with gear that specifically have the Bound tag etched on to it.
Once a player has a Bound tagged piece of gear, you will not be able to equip it until it is Soulbound. One such piece of equipment is the Dolan’s Shoulderplates. Which will read Soul Bounding Available. Note, that once a piece of gear has been successfully Soulbound you cannot sell the gear, trade it or even store it. The only way to remove a Soulbound item is to move it into the Trash Bin, which is located in your inventory.
Where To Find The Soul Codex
Currently, there are several ways to get your hands on a Soul Codex in AION 2. Each of them comes with varying degrees of difficulty.

- Hidden Cubes
- Shops
- Shugo Festival
- Dimensional Invasion
- Substance Morph (Using 10k Kira and 200 Enhance stones)
- Transencdence
- Expeditions
- Attendance/Logging in Daily
- Expeditions
As you can see, there are many different ways for you to be able to get a Soul Codex. If you do not manage to get it one way, try another method! There are several ways to get it.
To use it, you need to go to your enhancement tab located in the game menu. From there, go click on the Soul Binding tab. Pick a piece of equipment you want to upgrade and look for the bind function. Finally, you can spend your Soul Codex and some Kina to finish the bind.
What Does SoulBinding Do In Aion 2?
In Aion 2 the ability to Soulbind is super useful as it, essentially, adds additional gear slots to bound gear. Certain pieces of gear can have up to a total of 6 Binding Slots, turning it into Heroic gear and increasing its overall base stats. You will need the Soul Codex if you plan on Soulbinding gear.
