AION 2 Theostones are items that can be engraved into equipment for bonus effects. An engraved piece of equipment immediately gains the stone’s effect, empowering your attacks or providing additional effects. Let’s see what you must do to get Theostones and how they work!
How to Get and Use AION 2 Theostones
Theostone effects include extra damage and crowd control. Based on their rarity, there are three stone types:
- Rare.
- Epic.
- Unique.
Epic and Unique stones provide more damage and have increased effect duration. The rarity does not affect the proc chance. Theostones come from several game activities. Their uses depend on your class and preferred game content.
How to Get Theostones
Rare Theostones are obtained as rewards from:
- Regional quests.
- Abyss Shop.
- Hidden Cubes.
- Transcendence dungeons.
Regional Quests
At level 45, players from both factions have access to three AION 2 side quests that reward Rare Theostone Chests:
- Asmodian quests: A Traitor Within, Restless Spirits, Regular Altar Maintenance.
- Elyos quests: Search Party, Straggler Search, Learning to Let Go.
Each chest contains a random rare Theostone.
Abyss Shop
You can buy Rare Theostone Chests from the Abyss Shop for 35000 Abyss Points. Complete activities in the Abyss, the endgame PvP area, to get Abyss Points. You can collect Abyss Points by killing monsters, defeating other players, and completing Command Quests.
Transcendence Dungeons
Rare Theostones are among the rewards you may get for clearing bosses in Transcendence dungeons.
Hidden Cubes
As you explore the open world, you will come across these caches that may contain AION 2 Theostones. There are numerous Hidden Cubes in both Altgard and Verteron. They all emit a specific sound, allowing you to discover their location. Most cubes require a Hidden Key to open them. The keys come from quests, login rewards, and Monolith activities.
The Combine Theostone feature allows you to obtain Epic and Unique stones by combining at least four Rare stones.
If you have duplicate stones, combine them for a chance to get better ones.
How TheoStones Work
You can insert(engrave) these stones into any piece of gear that has a Theostone socket. Open the Enhancement menu, select the equipment you want to engrave, select a Theostone, and press the Engrave button. It costs 10000 Kina to engrave an item. You cannot retrieve stones from engraved items. Removing a stone will destroy it. Inevitably, you will replace stones, but keep in mind that the old one is lost in the process.
Before engraving an item, make sure your class benefits from the stone’s effect. As a general rule, you’ll want to use damage-boosting stones for PvE and crowd control stones for PvP. Effects from identical stones do not stack.
