Increasing your gear score in AION 2 will be a mandatory requirement. For example, one of the many end game dungeon expeditions, such as the Vakron Sky Island will require you to reach a Gear Score of 1400.
Early endgame PvE activities are locked behind your Gear Score (or ilvl), so you must raise it to access more content. Let’s see what you must do to improve your Gear Score!
How To Increase Your Gear Score In Aion 2
There are several main ways to improve Gear Score ilvl:
- Upgrade the Unique weapon and guard obtained from main quests.
- Upgrade the Ascension Bracelet, Revelation Amulet, and Noble Belt.
- Complete regional quests for accessories and Clash Runes.
- Consume Daevanion Crystals.
How to Raise Your Gear Score
Finish the Main Quest and Complete Level 45 Regional Quests
If you’ve reached level 45 before completing the story, continue with the main quest to obtain the Unique weapon and guard. Enhance them until you get the +10 version. Level 45 regional quests are a great way to get accessories. Complete the regional quests that reward items from the Pilgrim set (Elyos) and the Liberator set (Asmodian). Some of these regional quests give Clash Runes, which can be upgraded to increase Gear Score. The daily Duty quests are also worth your time. You can only do five of them per day. Make sure to check the Random Rewards and complete those that offer resources such as Enhance Stones, Odyle Energy, Soul Crystals, and tickets.
Ascension Bracelet, Revelation Amulet, and Noble Belt Upgrades
The Unique Ascension Bracelet is a main quest reward. You will keep this bracelet for a while, so upgrade it to +10 to bring you closer to AION 2 1400 Gear Score. The Revelation Amulet and Noble Belt are also obtained from the main quest. Unlike other gear, these two items are not replaceable. They also have a different upgrade system.
Spend Daevanion Crystals
Use the Daevanion Crystals sitting in your inventory to get Daevanion Points. Spend the points on the Daevanion Board to unlock nodes. Each Crystal gives +1 Gear Score. You can get more Daevanion Crystals from the Shugo Festival shop.
Engrave Manastones
Some pieces of equipment have sockets that you can engrave with Manastones to get random stats. You can use Lesser Manastones to get a few Gear Score points. Opt for better Manastones only if you’re engraving an item that you’ll be using for quite a while.
Exploration Activities
The Exploration section contains three activities:
- Sealed Dungeons.
- Strongholds.
- Field Bosses.
Complete them for upgrade materials, Daevanion Points, and Kina.
