How to Begin the Indiana Jones and the Great Circle A Study in Fear Side Quest
Make your way to the Khaimuk Saksit Village and find Pailin in her hut. Interact with her and find out that she is troubled by the explosions at a nearby excavation site.
Agree to investigate and head in the direction of the explosions.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle A Study in Fear Walkthrough
The explosions come from the Wat Si Sawai area. Follow the quest marker to reach it. Investigate this area and collect the notes. After you have all the notes, drop down into the Khmer Vault. Use the lever to activate the trap and take the fall.
Squeeze through the gap and run into Annika Lund, a former student and the archaeologist Pailin mentioned. She will accompany you through the Vault.
Burn the hay on the wall to reveal the lever that activates the pedestal. Take the Circle Key from Annika and use it on the pedestal to open the Secret Khmer Vault. Follow Annika into the Vault. Climb up to deactivate the cogwheel trap and enter the room with another pedestal. Grab the Cross and Circle Key from the ground. Use the whip to activate the hydraulic mechanism. Use the key on the pedestal to unlock the next area.
Finding the Demon Tomb
Follow Annika into the trap room and resume your trek to find the demon tomb. The next task is to open the sarcophagus. Activate the levers on both sides and push open the tomb to reveal another trap.
Break the wall and water will flow into the room, pushing you towards the ceiling spikes. Swim under and follow the passage to emerge with Annika’s help. Now, proceed to find the real tomb. Climb up and use the vines to swing across. Help Annika up and take her advice on how to open the locked door.
Proceed to the Burial Chamber, where you have to figure out the Demon’s Tomb puzzle. You have to align the symbols on the three pedestals using the two keys.
After solving the puzzle, use the lever to reveal the Idol of Yaksha. This is when Annika betrays Indy and takes off with the artifact. Swim to escape the trap and head in the direction of the scream. Find out what happened to Annika and get the Idol back. As you exit, some soldiers will be waiting for you at the entrance. Deal with them and return to Pailin to end the quest.
