Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Easter Eggs pay homage to the famous movie series by referencing some of the most popular Indiana Jones characters and locations.

This includes references to Marion Ravenwood, Staff of Ra and even the Marshall College. Many of which are featured in Raiders of the Lost Ark. We have listed a total of nine (9) easter eggs. Let’s check them out!

Marion Ravenwood

Marion's Note

Introduced in the Raiders of the Lost Ark, Marion Ravenwood is Indiana’s love interest. They have a complicated relationship, but the couple reunites in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny movie. As the game begins, Indy finds a note from Marion in his journal. This is the first of several Marion mentions throughout the game.

Headpiece of the Staff of Ra

Closely connected to Marion, we have an Easter Egg mentioning the Staff of Ra. In the Raiders of the Lost Ark, Marion has the Headpiece of the Staff of Ra, a key item for finding the Lost Ark. In the game, Indy dreams about finding the Headpiece and the Fertility Idol.

The Temple of the Forbidden Eye

Early in the game, we can spot a map on a table just outside Indiana’s office. A closer examination reveals that this is a Temple of the Forbidden Eye map. This is the setting of one of Disneyland’s most famous attractions, the Indiana Jones Adventure ride.

Marshall College is the first main area of the game. This is where Indiana Jones teaches his archaeology class. The Classroom in the game is an exact recreation of Indy’s classroom from the Raiders of the Lost Ark movie. We can spot the apple on the desk and the dig site drawing on the blackboard, but the most exciting reference is Shirley’s Letter.

If you search the front row right desk, you will find a note called Shirley’s Letter. This is the student who had a crush on Indy in the Raiders of the Lost Ark. You might remember her as the girl who wrote “Love You” on her eyelids. One year later, she is still pursuing her dreamboat archaeologist adventurer.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Easter Eggs – Willie Scott

Singer Willie Scott is one of the characters in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. One of the flyers on a notice board in Marshall College invites students to purchase tickets for the Marshall College Grand 1937 Dance. If you check the bottom of the ad, you will see that Willie Scott is the featured artist.

Henry Jones Sr.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Senior Report

In the Vatican City, we can find a note that mentions Indy’s father, Henry Jones Sr. You will come across this note during the fittingly named Father and Son puzzle. The note lets you in on a surveillance report. The Vatican is keeping a close eye on Henry Walton Jones Sr. and his longtime pursuit of the Holy Grail.

Throughout the game, we can find several comics referencing iconic Indiana Jones tales and scenes.

The Demon Jackal comic book is a nod to the first Young Indiana Jones Chronicles TV series episode.

Demon Jackal

Another comic, Tales of Dread, speaks about killer ants, a direct reference to the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull scene depicting the demise of villain Irina Spalko.
