SUBSTORY QUEST: The Mochi Mystery

CHAPTER: Chapter 3 – Mibu Wolves

QUEST GIVER: Doshin

REWARDS: Godslayer’s Talisman, 300 Virtue

LOCATION: Shinmeicho – Rakunai

GUIDE:

Head to the ‘Shinmeicho’ street, which is west of the ‘Shogi Parlour’. Here we will see a bunch of people all huddled into a corner. Approach them.
Turns out two of the five people here have caused a terrible act but the Doshin (basically the police officer) is unable to determine who it was that did this act and is unable to deal the necessary punishment.

The ‘Doshin’ then goes on to mention that the five people here were all tasked with cleaning the doshin stationhouse. That is when the incident took place. Two of them are responsible for eating a ‘daifuku mochi’. Which is made from a sticky rice paste. It is a Japanese pastry.

Since the ‘Doshin’ cannot pinpoint who the two suspects are, he then asks for our help in the investigation. Agree to help him. Then the five culprits will introduce themselves. Here we have; Higashihara, Nishiyama, Nakagawa, Minamino, Kitajima.

Go ahead and question the suspects and try to determine which two out of the five stole and ate the rice paste, the daifuku mochi. Higashihara will blame the incident on Kitajima. Whilst Nakagawa will blame Minamino, as he saw him with mochi filling on his mouth.
Whilst Nishiyama will blame both Higashihara and Minamino. Claiming that they both had keys to the snack room.

Anyway speak with them all and then proceed and speak with the ‘Doshin’ officer. The culprits are actually both ‘Higashihara and Minamino‘. The first and fourth individuals, going from left to right.

DESCRIPTION

It was pretty tough to work out who ate the mochi, but I did it in the end!
