Like A Dragon: Ishin – Wood Cutter (Substory Quest)
Like A Dragon: Ishin has many different substory quests that players can find and try to complete. One of which is Its Wood Cutter
Wood Cutter is an optional substory quest that involves us having to help an old man that appears to have been injured during his job. His job, of course, is that of a wood cutter. He basically chops wood for a living.
SUBSTORY QUEST: Wood Cutter
CHAPTER: Chapter 2 – The Man Named Saito Hajime
QUEST GIVER: Wood Cutter
REWARDS: 100 mon per successful chop, 150 Virtue
LOCATION: South Yashikimachi (Fushimi)
GUIDE:
Head to ‘South Yashikimachi’ and here we will spot a man that appears to be sitting on the floor. If we go and speak with him we will then learn that he managed to hurt his back whilst chopping wood.
Both Ryoma and the ‘Wood Cutter’ will exchange words about being ‘too old’ to chop wood. So the ‘Wood Cutter’ will suggest that Ryoma goes and starts chopping wood for him. Given that he seems to be in good shape, with potential.
Thus begins a small mini game. It is exactly the same chopping mini game that we can play back in Tosa. Basically we need to chop wood when the axe lightens up and reaches its brightest. If timed correctly we will then get a successful wood chop. Otherwise we will have to try and be a bit more patient.
As we become more accustomed and used to how the mini game actually works things will start to get a bit faster. The maximum amount of wood chops that we can perform per round is set to 100.
Once you are done chopping wood we will then activate another ‘friendship bond’. The substory will also come to an end. We will get paid 100 mon per successful wood chop.
DESCRIPTION
