Side Missions are basically optional side objectives that players can unlock and complete if they fancy taking a break from the main story for a bit.
In order to find one of these side missions you will need to locate the small blue diamond type icons or markers that are scattered throughout the map. Once you have managed to find one simply speak to the quest giver, NPC, to begin.
A lot of these side missions either require you to fix networks, complete uploads, and of course defeat a ton of mean angry men along the way.
Each side mission has its own set of rewards, which usually includes additional XP. Completing all of these side missions will unlock the Friendly Neighbourhood Spiderman trophy achievement.
More side missions become available as you continue to progress through the main story.
This specific page will be focusing on completing the Snipe Hunt side mission
SIDE MISSION: Snipe Hunt
DISTRICT: Financial District
REWARDS: 3000 XP
QUEST GIVER: Police Officer
GUIDE:
Head to the Financial District and speak with the Police Officer to begin this one.
Upon speaking with the officer we will find out that there is a sniper stalking Mayor Osborn’s chief of staff. We will now need to go and save the citizen.
We will find this citizen at the courthouse which is about to be under attack. Head towards the marker and a scene will occur. Spiderman will then mention that we cannot get spotted near the citizen or the sniper will intervene and take the shot.
So with that being said there will now be a change of plans, we will now need to go and eliminate the sniper before they even get the chance to intervene. Use stealth to takedown the sniper, so that he does not catch or see us.
After taking down the sniper the Police Officer will then contact us. Apparently they have managed to access the perp’s phone and there are several other snipers located nearby.
There will now be 3 additional snipers that all need eliminating, all of which are also marked on the map to make things much easier for us. The only thing that may be tricky for us in this section is the timer on the left of the screen. We will only have around 2 minutes in which to find and eliminate the remaining snipers.
After successfully eliminating all 3 sniper targets, unfortunately we are still not done yet. The Police Officer will once again contact us regarding tourists being taken as hostages.
Our next destination is over at Battery Park. When we arrive a scene will trigger and Spiderman will suggest that we take a stealth approach, otherwise it is goodnight to the poor defenceless hostages here. So take his advice and stealth takedown all of the snipers.
Once you have taken care of the threat here the mission will then come to an end.
