(ME2) Mass Effect 2 has quite a handful of optional side quests or Assignments in this case that you can complete, some of which will only unlock after certain requirements are fulfilled.

Below is a simple guide on how to complete all of the N7 Assignments..

N7 ASSIGNMENTS / QUEST (PART 1/4)

• LOCATION: Galaxy – Minos Wasteland – Fortis – Aequitas
• PREREQUISITE: Star Chart – Baria Frontier’s Store. Illium
• INFO: You will detect an anomaly in the Fortis System, Minos Wasteland

Wrecked Merchant Freighter: 

• QUEST GIVER: Scan the planet Neith
• LOCATION: Planet: Galaxy – Eagle Nebula – Amun – Neith
• PREREQUISITE: Complete Freedom’s Progress
• INFO: You will detect an anomaly on the Amun System – Eagle Nebula

Abandoned Research Station:

• QUEST GIVER: EDI
• LOCATION: Jarrahe Station
• PREREQUISITE: Wrecked Merchant Freighter
• INFO: Planet: Galaxy – Eagle Nebula – Strabo

Anomalous Weather Detected: 

• QUEST GIVER: Scanning the planet Canalus
• LOCATION: Planet: Galaxy – Pylos Nebula – Dirada – Canalus
• PREREQUISITE: Star Chart – Baria Frontier’s Store. Illium
• INFO: The Geth are protecting a climate-change device

  17:02 – 24:46 : Captured Mining Facility

Blood Pack Base: 

• QUEST GIVER: Scan the first planet on Xe Cha or Blood Pack: Communications Relay
• LOCATION: Planet: Galaxy – The Shrike Abyssal – Xe Cha – Zada Ban
• PREREQUISITE: Star Chart – Baria Frontier’s Store. Illium
• INFO: EDI will inform Shepard of a high power source inside the facility

Blood Pack: Communications Relay: 

• QUEST GIVER: Scan the Tarith Planet
• LOCATION: Planet: Galaxy – Crescent Nebula – Lusarn – Tarith
• PREREQUISITE: Complete the events on Horizon
• INFO: Shut down the Blood Pack communication relay.

Captured Mining Facility:

• QUEST GIVER: Scan the planet Helyme
• LOCATION: Planet: Galaxy – Crescent Nebula – Zelene – Helyme
• PREREQUISITE: Complete the events on Horizon
• INFO: Explore the mining facility

Smuggling Depot: 

• QUEST GIVER: Aria or scan the Daratar Planet
• LOCATION: Planet: Galaxy – Hourglass Nebula – Faryar – Daratar
• PREREQUISITE: Complete Freedom’s Progress, Omega – Archangel: Datapad Recovered, Omega – The Patriach (If you would rather opt for the Aria way of activating the quest). Otherwise just scan the Daratar Planet.
• INFO: Destroy the mechs before they destroy the crates (there are 20 crates in total)

  7:22 – 15:14 : Archeological Dig Site
  15:14 – 32:03 : MSV Strontium Mule

Assignments:

Javelin Missiles Launched:

• QUEST GIVER: EDI or by scanning the Moon by Sigurd’s Cradle
• LOCATION: Planet: Galaxy – Sigurds Cradle – Skepsis System – Franklin
• PREREQUISITE: Blue Suns Base (Optional)
• INFO: A countdown timer will activate. Missiles have been set to hit the colony

Archeological Dig Site: 

• QUEST GIVER: Jacob’s loyalty mission which unlocks the Rosette Nebula.
• LOCATION: Planet: Galaxy – Rosette Nebula – Enoch System – Joab
• PREREQUISITE: Jacob: The Gift Of Greatness (Kelly Chambers will inform Sheppard that Jacob wants to talk)
• INFO: The Rosette Nebula has been invaded by the Blue Suns.

MSV Strontium Mule: 

• QUEST GIVER: Cerberus
• LOCATION: Planet: Galaxy – Omega Nebula – Arinlarkan – MSV
• PREREQUISITE: N7: Archeological Dig Site
• INFO: The derelict ship MSV Strontium Mule has been captured by Blue Suns

Blue Suns Base: 

• QUEST GIVER: Cerberus
• LOCATION: Planet: Galaxy – Sigurds Cradle – Decoris – Sanctum
• PREREQUISITE: Complete MSV Strontium Mule
• INFO: The Blue Suns are using false distress calls to lure and capture ships.

• QUEST GIVER: Solveig becomes open for access. Scan Surtur’s moon
• LOCATION: Planet: Galaxy – Caleston Rift – Solveig – Surtur – Sinmara
• PREREQUISITE: Collector Ship (Mission) or Project Firewalker: Rosalie Lost (DLC)
• INFO: The local Sun is causing dangerous levels of radiation

Hahne-Kedar Facility:

• LOCATION: Planet: Galaxy – Titan Nebula – Haskins – Capek
• PREREQUISITE: N7: Abandoned Research Station
• INFO: A virus that has corrupted mechs has been found on the planet Capek

Imminent Ship Crash: 

• QUEST GIVER: By scanning the MSV Broken Arrow
• LOCATION: Planet: Galaxy – Pylos Nebula – Nariph – MSV Broken Arrow
• PREREQUISITE: Star Chart – Baria Frontier’s Store. Illium
• INFO: The MSV Broken Arrow is on a collision course with the nearby planet

Lost Operative: 

• QUEST GIVER: Cerberus
• LOCATION: Planet: Galaxy – Omega Nebula – Fathar – Lorek
• PREREQUISITE: Recruit the Archangel to your team (Garrus)
• INFO: A lost member of Cerberus is believed to be held in an Eclipse base on the planet, Lorek

Mining The Canyon: 

• QUEST GIVER: Scan the planet Taitus
• LOCATION: Planet: Galaxy – Caleston Rift – Talava – Taitus
• PREREQUISITE: Collector Ship (Mission) or Project Firewalker: Rosalie Lost (DLC)
• INFO: A malfunctioning mech has been left on the planet and the owner is now complaining about it.

MSV Estevanico: 

• QUEST GIVER: Scan the planet Zanethu
• LOCATION: Planet: Galaxy – Hourglass Nebula – Ploitari – Zanethu
• PREREQUISITE: Complete Freedom’s Progress
• INFO: A freighter which had disappeared roughly a year ago has now been found

Quarian Crash Site: 

• QUEST GIVER: Scan the planet Gei Hinnom
• LOCATION: Planet: Galaxy – Hades Nexus – Sheol – Gei Hinnom
• PREREQUISITE: Horizon, Star Chart – Baria Frontier’s Store. Illium or Project Firewalker: Volcano Station
• INFO: A distress signal has been found on the planet Gei Hinnom
