NECK DEEP IN LOVE SUBSTORY
The Neck Deep in Love Substory can be found during Chapter 3: The Fool in Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth. As you explore the vibrant world of the game, make your way to West Aloha Beach. There, you’ll notice a girl hiding behind surfboards, anxiously waiting for her chance to make her feelings known. This is where Substory 14 begins.
Hitomi Hamabe
Meet Hitomi Hamabe, a high school girl on a class trip who is smitten with her classmate, Tanabe-kun. Unfortunately, she hasn’t had the opportunity to confess her love yet. However, fate has brought her and Ichiban together, leading to an unexpected alliance. Ichiban, being the kind-hearted soul that he is, offers to deliver the love letter on Hitomi’s behalf.
THE HUNT FOR TANABE
Now comes the challenging part – finding Tanabe-kun among the crowd of buried beachgoers. Look around and you’ll notice several heads sticking out of the sand, making the search quite tricky. But fear not, for we have the clues to help you locate the elusive Tanabe-kun.
Interact with the available heads and listen closely to their cryptic hints. One says that Tanabe is not next to a watermelon, while another mentions that he is between the yellow and red parasols. Additionally, they reveal that Tanabe is not in the left-hand row facing the ocean, and that he is buried facing his friend, Sato-kun.
Using these clues, you can piece together the location of Tanabe-kun. Deduce that he is in row number 3, second from the top, facing right. The final clue, the one about him facing his friend, is crucial in identifying him correctly.
DELIVRING THE LOVE LETTER
With Tanabe-kun finally located, it’s time to deliver the long-awaited love letter. Approach Tanabe and hand him the precious message from Hitomi. Witness the anticipation in his eyes as he reads the heartfelt words. This is a pivotal moment that will shape the destiny of these young hearts.
As the Substory progresses, Ichiban offers to walk Tanabe to the coconut juice cart, where Hitomi awaits. The excitement builds as Tanabe eagerly accepts the invitation. At the cart, Hitomi greets Ichiban with gratitude and presents Tanabe to him. It’s a joyous occasion as Hitomi musters the courage to ask Tanabe out, and he responds with an enthusiastic “yes!”
