In this guide, we’re covering STALKER 2 Heart of Chornobyl Deceive the Deceiver Side Quest. An NPC named Akopyan, who is located in the South Plant Boiler Station of the Garbage region, will give you this quest. He was set up and he asks you to help him exact his revenge. Read on to learn which choices to make and who to deceive.
Beginning the Deceive the Deceiver Side Quest
To start this quest, go to the South Plant Boiler Station north of the Detention Center. Kill all the soldiers in the area and listen out for a cry for help. You’ll find Akopyan, the quest giver, behind a blue and white bus. He’ll ask for bandages and no matter your response, he’ll tell you how he was set up by a man named Zahkar. After this, he’ll offer to pay you if you help him lure Zahkar away from the Slag Heap so he can get his revenge.
Go to Slag Heap
Go to Slag Heap and speak with Zahkar. Show him the gun Akopyan gave you, which was on Zahkar’s friend’s dead body. Afraid that Akopyan killed his friends and seeks revenge, he will leave the Slag Heap and ask you to escort him.
Kill or Escort Zahkar
Once you leave the Slag Heap, you have two options: Kill or Escort Zahkar. If you decide to kill him, it’s best to wait until he is looting his stash, away from town, otherwise you risk making everyone in the area hostile. After that, return to Akopyan to receive your reward, 2,500 Coupons.
On the other hand, you can escort Zahkar all the way to safety and he will also reward you with 2,500 Coupons. Unfortunately, there’s no way to get both rewards at the moment. If you choose to escort Zahkar all the way to his men, receive his reward, and then kill him you will find Akopyan dead when you return.
