During the Behind Seven Seals main mission, you will come across the locked door at the Northern Checkpoint. You can unlock this door during A Needle in a Haystack main mission by following these steps. Read on to learn how to get the key.
Siding with Richter
In the main mission, A Needle in a Haystack, one of your objectives is to retrieve the Ward Sensors by either helping or killing a character named Squint. After that, you have to choose who to give the Ward Sensors to, Richter or Captain Zotov. For this, you’ll want to side with Ricther since that will take you towards the Northern Checkpoint. If you side with Captain Zotov, then you will leave the area through the Pontoon Bridge instead.
Where to Find the Northern Checkpoint Key In STALKER 2 Heart Of Chornobyl
A character named Gaffer has the key. You first meet him in the same house that Richter is in. If you didn’t get the key, then you can find him again in the Zalissya Bar, which is south of the Northern Checkpoint. You’ll want to return to the bar and speak to him. He is sitting inside at the corner of a long table, wearing a beanie and a sweater. After speaking with him, he’ll give you the key to the Northern Checkpoint. Return to the checkpoint and use the Old Key in your inventory.
Can You Unlock The Door If You Side with Zotov?
If you decided to side with Captain Zotov but still want to get through the Northern Checkpoint to loot the stash there, there is a way. You can jump through a nearby window and open the door from the inside.
