Best Ways to Discard Items in Schedule 1

In Schedule 1, there are plenty of items that can quickly fill up your inventory: drugs to distribute to dealers and customers, ingredients for mixing, equipment for production, and other stuff like skateboards and clothes. Your inventory can only hold so much, though, unless you’ve got enough storage racks to stash everything. The game, however, doesn’t include any trash bins for dumping items, and it doesn’t explain how to destroy them either. So if you’re wondering how to get rid of things, here’s a quick guide on how to discard items in Schedule 1.

How to discard items in Schedule 1

In Schedule 1, discarding, destroying, or throwing away items might not be obvious at first, but it’s actually pretty simple. Here are a few ways to do it.

Discard box

In Schedule 1, there’s a discard box you can use to destroy items. To access it, open your phone by pressing Tab, then go to Loading Bays or Storage Racks. You’ll see a red box at the bottom right of the screen.

To get rid of an item, just select it and drag it into the red box. This will permanently delete the item, and you won’t be able to retrieve it afterward.

Placing it into someone else’s inventory

Compared to the first option, this trick is a bit more complicated, and sometimes not even worth the effort. Find an NPC, crouch behind them, and initiate a pickpocket attempt. Once you’re in the pickpocket minigame, choose any item from their inventory and steal it. This creates an empty slot, allowing you to drag an unwanted item from your own inventory into theirs.

Pawnshop

Players can also visit the Pawnshop to permanently discard items, and even get something in return.

Head to the Pawnshop near the motel and warehouse between 6 AM and 6 PM. Talk to Mick Lubbin behind the counter and select: [1] I’d like to sell something.

Next, choose an item from your inventory and drag it into one of the empty slots. Mick will then display a price range for the item, whether it’s equipment, tools, or other sellable goods.
