Schedule 1 Suspension rack and Grow tent – Which is better

Schedule 1

Schedule 1 will have you juggling multiple tasks, one of which is growing marijuana and coca leaves. Grab some seeds, plant them, and wait a few hours until they’re ready for harvest. One of the most important tools for this task is a pot. You can choose between Grow Tents or Suspension Rack pots. If that’s what you’re curious about, be sure to read this guide!

How to get a Suspension Rack and Grow Tent

Grow Tent is an item that is unlocked right away at the beginning of the game. You can purchase it from either Dan’s Hardward Store or Handy Hank’s for $100 each.

Suspension Rack is solely available at the Oscar’s Store inside the Warehouse. Each suspension rack is priced at $40 which is way cheaper than the former.

What’s the difference between a Suspension Rack and Grow Tent

Both Suspension Rack and Grow Tent are used in planting seeds and harvesting weed or coca leaves. However, they have plenty of differences.

Grow Tent is the only option you have at early levels. Suspension Rack only gets unlocked after getting access to the warehouse, which can take a few hours or days of gameplay. The former though is much more expensive. This is because Grow Tent can function on its own. In contrast, the Suspension Rack requires two essential items to work: pots and lights.

As for yield, the Grow Tent can produce 8 marijuana buds (12 with Plant Growth Regulator or PGR) and 6 coca leaves (11 with PGR). Meanwhile, a Suspension Rack equipped with pots and lights can produce 12 buds (16 with PGR) or 9 coca leaves (16 with PGR).

Should you use Grow Tents or Suspension Racks in Schedule 1

Whether you should use a Suspension Rack or a Grow Tent depends on how far along you are in the game.

If you’re in the early game with no budget to purchase multiple Suspension Rack setups, no access to larger properties like the Bungalow, Barn, or Warehouse, or simply don’t need high daily output, it’s best to stick with the Grow Tent. Overall, Grow Tents are more affordable, and upgrading to Suspension Racks while on a tight budget can quickly drain your funds.

However, as production expands, the need to use Suspension Racks becomes more important, especially when selling cocaine, since coca leaves tend to grow slower than marijuana. In this case, consider upgrading to Suspension Racks, particularly when automating planting, as you can only hire a limited number of employees.
