Game Guides

This page will be focusing on providing a detailed walkthrough for the Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One, The Hand Me Down optional side casewhich starts at The Old City

I will be trying to cover as much of the side case as possible, from collecting all evidence to unlocking any potential missable trophies and achievements.

  • LOCATION: Scarlet St (Old City)
  • REWARDS: Violet Holmes’s Magnifying Glass, 15 Coin
  • GUIDE:
  • Head to Scarlet St in the Old City and you should come across a large statue of a hand, hence the name Hand-me-Down..
  • Now proceed to pin The Silver Hand Monument from the Casebook menu and then inspect the hand statue. We will now learn that it is a statue in honour of the pirate, Karim.
  • John will now magically be standing on the statue and we will receive The Silver Hand Riddles
  • Head back to the Casebook menu and this time pin The Silver Hand Riddles evidence that we just picked up
  • We will now be doing some riddle solving..
  • ‘A hand with treasure, a quest so sweet! Stand where Eurus Rd and Crooked St meet.
  • A few steps towards the mosque, left at the first stairs.
  • And find the courtyard a wishing well shares’
  • We now need to travel south of Old City, towards the Gul Afshar Caravanserai
  • The wishing well can then be found through a small arched tunnel.
  • Inspect the wishing well using concentration mode in order to find its secret stash (Second Riddle)
  • You’re almost there, lets not postpone.
  • You’re seeking an arc that’s made of stone
  • Head east from the Old Ruins, my friend, it guards the ancients until the end..
  • Here you basically want to travel to the Old Ruins, south west of the map by Grand Saray
  • Once you arrive head down to the beach, where you will find an abandoned wooden boat.
  • In this area the game will hint that you are near the stash. In order to find it you will need to search the rocks just beyond this abandoned boat
  • With old ruins beneath its feet.
  • Find a tree that treasures keep.
  • You may find only one small detail. But that does not mean that you have failed.
  • Just up the hill from the beach, there will be a tree. The treasure can be found here.
  • Finding this treasure will complete the case.
