The Outer Worlds : Peril On Gorgon (DLC) – All 20 Portable Phonographs (Good Listener) Guide

During your adventures through The Outer Worlds – Peril On Gorgon (DLC) you will no doubt come across these ‘Portable Phonographs’, in fact you get the first one automatically.

Anyway Portable Phonographs are basically hidden collectibles that consist of various different voice recordings. There are a total of 20 different ones to find and collect, getting them all will net you with the Good Listener trophy achievement

#1 – LUCKY MONTOYA (AUTOMATIC)

This one is automatically given to you when you begin the Peril On Gorgon (dlc). As soon as you pick up the several arm from the container you will automatically pick this one up

#2 – OLIVIA’S GOODBYE

This next one can be found inside the Ambrose Manor

From the starting area opposite the actual Manor, drop down and enter the door on the left here. Inside this building we can grab the Kitchen Keycard which is necessary for the next part

With the Keycard in hand we can now make our way into the actual Manor. This Manor is incredibly dark and rather large so I’ll try to guide you as best I can here.

Head to the large dining table and enter the door to the left of it, next to the moon face picture. From there head through the open doorway (marked above), this will lead to a rather small and what looks like a dead end area

However, lurking in the darkness is a set of ladders that you should be able to climb, do so. If you keep to the right you should find a passage into the Kitchen area.

Then if you examine the table to the left there should be a Master Bedroom Keycard on it, pick it up. Then use the doors that can also be found inside this room

In this rather dark hallway you will want to take the door at the far end on the left (as shown above). This will lead to the fancy bedroom and in this rather fancy bedroom will be the next Phonograph

#3 – I FEEL LIKE ME AGAIN (GORGON CANYON)

Head to the location in the above images.

Then continue on up these ramps until you reach the very top floor, now you will need to gain access to the door on the far right as the next Phonograph will be inside here. However, if it is your first time here then chances are this door will be locked and you will need to open it first.

#4 – AN INTERVIEW WITH DOCTOR AMBROSE (PART 1)

For this next one you will want to be in the Office Of Creative Incubation.

Here head through the door on the right side in order to reach a lift, take the lift up and to reach the next area

If you stick to the right side as you pass through corridors and various rooms, you should see some stairs. One of these stairs heads up and the other down, you want to take the stairs that lead down.

At the bottom of these stairs. head left and through the hole in the wall. This should then take you to a bar.

Pass through this room but stick to the right side, then in the next area take a left to another damaged wall. In here on the bookcase should be the next Phonograph

#5 – AN INTERVIEW WITH DOCTOR AMBROSE (PART 2)

Head to the upper exterior of the Office building (the building where you found the first Interview Phonograph, OCI) Then head through the door up the ramp and to the left

The next Phonograph should be in here

#6 – AN INTERVIEW WITH DOCTOR AMBROSE (PART 3)

We will now want to be at the Human Inquiry & Auditing building and head to Floor 2 of this building, then head up the next set of stairs in the back of this room. (You should be in the Volunteer Quarters)

Continue through the next set of rooms until you see a large hole in the wall to the left. Going through here should lead to some abandoned office desks

Pass on right through the office room to Chamber 2. Continue on through the next set of rooms

You should then reach a set of steps with a red glow, matches the area really. Anyway follow these steps up and continue right. Then continue right at the next fork, here you should see an open doorway

At this open doorway look down at the wall here to find the next one

#7 – DR. AMBROSE’S DIARY: MEMORY

This next one can be found in the OCI Upper Exterior, then heading through the buildings here and keeping to the right

Keep following the narrow path through the rock walls, as I mentioned earlier stick to the right as you go through these walls. Eventually you should come to another village type area.

You will want to access the building to your immediate left in order to find the next one

#8 – DR. AMBROSE’S DIARY: METAMORPHOSIS

This next one is actually in the same room as the last collectible (#7)

#9 – FOLLOW-UP INTERVIEW WITH DR. AMBROSE

This next one can be found at the Trash Dump.

Head inside the ‘Trash Building’ and it will be found in amongst the lockers

#10 – CHEM LAB PASSPHRASE

This one is actually story related. However if you head for floor 1F of the Olympus Orbital Pharma Station – Reception, you can also steal this next collectible too.

If you head through the doorway to the North, then head down the ramp here. When you arrive at the lower floor, head through the doorway of 01 and use the lift here, ride it up.

Head down the next ramp to the right, then at the Central Lab sign head on up the ramp next to it. You actually want to be inside the Central Lab

Follow the room around to the right and enter the room marked above, here you should be able to find the Orbital Station Keycard

Then head to the other side of the Central Lab then head into the room here to find Dr. Jasper Law. You can now attempt to steal the next collectible from him

#11 – LUCKY’S NOTE – MORE TO THE STORY

For this next one you will want to be at the entrance to the Office Of Creative Incubation

The next collectible can be found amongst the boxes to the right of the OCI building

#12 – LUCKY’S NOTE – SMOKE AND MIRRORS

For this next one you will want to be at the Marauder’s Stronghold

You will find the collectible inside a small cave next to a dead body

#13 – LUCKY’S NOTE – ONTO SOMETHING

This next one can be found outside the Chem Lab. The collectible will be sitting next to the large red pipe

#14 – LUCKY’S NOTE – NARROW ESCAPE

For this next one you will want to head to the Abandoned Mines. Then keep following the Mine Tracks.

Then at the fork turn and head right, then follow the tracks up.

Then when you arrive at the brightly lit door (IGNORE IT), instead continue on past the tracks. (Follow my lovely colourful bubble picture)

Whilst going through here, keep to the left at all times. The collectible can be found next to the green and yellow can here in the corner

#15 – FOR BENJI

This next one is also in the Abandoned Mines, start by heading back to the brightly lit door and follow the tracks back down. When you come to the fork head left

Then head through the gap between the walls here. The collectible can be found in the dead end corner with some light shining on it

#16 – OBSERVATIONAL NOTES, UNDATED

For this next one you will need to be at the Groundbreaker and to be more precise, the 3F Auxiliary Maintenance Bay

Head through the large room here and down the set of steps at the end and follow the room around.

The collectible can be found on the table here

#17 – OBSERVATION LOG – PERCY

Going from the last collectible (#16) head down the passage to the right and head through the middle room on the left, you will be in the Kitchen.

Ignore the Kitchen and instead head down the corridor on the left in order to find the next one

#18 – AMBROSE LAB NOTES #2

This next one can be found at the Chem Lab Upper Exterior

Head through the Only You doorway to the left, this will lead to Loose Lips

From here head to the ground floor and through the door to the right (marked in the image above)

The next collectible can be found inside here sitting on the trolley

#19 – AMBROSE LAB NOTES #3

This next one can be found inside the Chem Lab Upper Exterior

Head through the cave here (shown above), it has a yellow and green flare next to the entrance

Keep following the caves until you reach the above fork, here ignore both the green and purple pathways and instead head left

Here keep following the remainder of the cave left until you finally reach a more of an open area. The collectible can be found inside the Head Chem St room

#20 – TO ROSCOE

This final collectible can also be found in the Chem Lab Upper Exterior, this time head left into the Main Lab

The final collectible will be sitting on the shelf in the back room of the Main Lab
