How to Finish Palace of Annals in Where Winds Meet

Where Winds Meet has plenty of side quests, and one of them is the Palace of Annals. This quest is part of the campaign side quests. Not only can you earn valuable rewards, but completing it also unlocks the campaign challenge featuring a boss named Lucky Seventeen.

Palace of Annals in Where Winds Meet Walkthrough – Lucky Seventeen

Players can initiate the subquest by heading to the Front Fountain of Moonveil Mountain.

Head to the Hall of Seasons and make your way to the second floor. On this floor, you’ll spot a hole covered with wooden planks. Use the Drop ability to break through it and enter a new room. There will be enemies along the path, so take them out as you move forward.

You’ll eventually reach a room with a large lift. On the right side, you can use the Ember Cry to call the lift. Hop in and ride it downward.

After some time, the lift will break and you’ll need to fix it. Enter the room, head to the right side, and follow the quest marker. Activate the contraptions to repair the lift. Then, go back through the wooden ramp and continue downward.

Once you reach the lower level, keep following the quest marker while defeating the enemies along the path.

Open the gate, and you’ll encounter a new boss named Lucky Seventeen.

This boss has two phases. After defeating him the first time, a cutscene will play, and the second phase will begin.

The first phase is much easier, as his attacks are slower. The fight mainly consists of leaping, stomping, and slam attacks, which can be parried or dodged.

The second phase is more difficult, as he uses a giant sword that he can throw or swing at you. If he throws it, you can counter with Meridian Touch. Watch out for the charging attack (marked by a golden glow) and dodge sideways to avoid taking damage.
