How to Learn the Mystic Skill Where Winds Meet Meridian Touch

To perform Meridian Touch, you need to unlock it by completing a side quest in Qinghe. Make your way to Stonewash Strand to find the NPC that starts the quest, Yan Qiren.

Yan Qiren is near the starting point of the Verdant Wilds area. Upon reaching the location, you will notice an army of human-like statues. Make your way through the statues and find Yan Qiren in front of the ramshackle cottage. Interact with him to start the Where Winds Meet Meridian Touch side quest.

How to Use Meridian Touch to Free Yan Qiren

Yan Qiren mistakes you for his son and offers to teach you the ability. Press the designated buttons (R2 + square button on the controller, or 1 if you’re using a keyboard) and notice the three options that appear on the screen:

• Immobilized.
• Overjoyed.
• Itchy.

To unseal Yan Qiren’s acupoint, press the corresponding button to select the Immobilized option. As Yan Qiren comes to his senses, he realizes you are not his son. Nevertheless, the quest is now completed and you earn several rewards, including the ability to perform Meridian Touch.

This is an interesting ability with several uses. It comes in handy during combat, as it allows you to immobilize opponents for a short while and reveal a vital spot. However, the ability does not work on mighty enemies. Outside of combat, you can use it for various key interactions, such as Meow Meow challenges.
