Whilst Where Winds Meet might have an offline, Solo Mode, it also comes with an online, Multiplayer Mode, too. Which comes with its own additional features and advantages. From cooperative gameplay to, even, having the opportunity for romantic relations.
How to Romance Other Players in Where Winds Meet – Can You Romance NPC Characters?
One of the main ways of activating the romance option in Where Winds Meet, is with other players in the game. Through Multiplayer Mode. Marriage is locked between players so you can’t engage in this type of relationship with NPCS. During Solo Mode. However, you can exchange gifts with them which helps raise affinity levels. But, as mentioned, Multiplayer Mode takes relationships a step further.
Romance And Marriage Through Multiplayer Mode
Back to the main romance between players– the point of this is to build connections and bond with others in game. Remember, to even start a romance with someone you must be in online mode.
There are four different ways to participate in romance, which include the following:
- A hero bond where you send handwritten poems and receive them from others who want to create relationships.
- With Intimacy, the romance is progressed based. Once you meet specific requirements, you can unlock nodes. These give bonus effects.
- A sworn cohort is a group relationship involved 3 to 10 members. They are able to engage in activities at the Engagement hub which increases their Cohort level.
The reason you’ll want to romance is because of the benefits, which includes those in the Social Shop. If you want to romance, then you’ll need to do and unlock the following:
- Assuming you are in online Multiplayer Mode, bring up the in-game menu and go to social. From there, proceed and select the Partnership Option and search for the date menu.
- Finally, you can go to Crimson Cliffs and speak to Shi Yimo. Once you select Seeking Fate from the chat info box, you are all set.
What happens after that is the message will be available for others to see it. Another player can respond to it and start building a relationship with you. Aim for higher intimacy levels so you get more benefits.
Intimacy levels can increase by grouping up together and completing quests. You will generate currency in the form of Harmony Coins and can be used on cosmetic items
