YS IX – Monstrum Nox : Missing Family Report (Side Quest) Guide

Missing Family Report is one of the many side quests that you can complete within Ys IX: Monstrum Nox

It involves trying to track down a missing family. It can be found and completed during Chapter 3 – The Feral Hawk

  • PRIORITY: 3/3 (3 Star)
  • REWARD: 1000 Gold, Blacksmith, Materials Exchange Store
  • LOCATION: Dandelion – Bulletin Board
  • CHAPTER: Chapter 3 – The Feral Hawk
  • WALKTHROUGH:
  • You can pick up this quest via the bulletin board at the Dandelion base
  • After accepting the quest head on over to the water feature in Central District, here you will find Geoffrey
  • Seems like a family has just disappeared basically ‘Spirited Away’, which apparently is a rumour amongst the town. Not good.
  • There will now be 3 green symbols on your map, you will need to visit them and talk to the NPC there (Girl, Woman and Young Man)
  • After talking to them all you will eventually find out about the father of the family being a smithy. One that got kicked out of the Craft Guild due to making cured weapons. The team will now decide to investigate the house
  • At the door to the family house you will come across a miasma votex. Enter the vortex
  • It is inside the vortex where you will encounter the missing family. Before we can talk to them we need to defeat the monsters currently attacking them
  • Tito and Arche will now join you. Tito can enhance your weapons and craft accessories and sacramentals. Whilst Arche can exchange materials for improved quality items

  • See, I’m a landlord, and one of my housing unit’s
  • tenants have been missing for about a week now
  • The house… Well, it has a bit of a, shall we say, ‘history’.
  • Needless to say, I’m plenty worried.
