YS IX – Monstrum Nox : Missing Family Report (Side Quest) Guide

Missing Family Report is one of the many side quests that you can complete within Ys IX: Monstrum Nox

It involves trying to track down a missing family. It can be found and completed during Chapter 3 – The Feral Hawk

REWARD: 1000 Gold, Blacksmith, Materials Exchange Store
LOCATION: Dandelion – Bulletin Board
CHAPTER: Chapter 3 – The Feral Hawk
WALKTHROUGH:
You can pick up this quest via the bulletin board at the Dandelion base
After accepting the quest head on over to the water feature in Central District, here you will find Geoffrey
Seems like a family has just disappeared basically ‘Spirited Away’, which apparently is a rumour amongst the town. Not good.

There will now be 3 green symbols on your map, you will need to visit them and talk to the NPC there (Girl, Woman and Young Man)
After talking to them all you will eventually find out about the father of the family being a smithy. One that got kicked out of the Craft Guild due to making cured weapons. The team will now decide to investigate the house
At the door to the family house you will come across a miasma votex. Enter the vortex
It is inside the vortex where you will encounter the missing family. Before we can talk to them we need to defeat the monsters currently attacking them
Tito and Arche will now join you. Tito can enhance your weapons and craft accessories and sacramentals. Whilst Arche can exchange materials for improved quality items

See, I’m a landlord, and one of my housing unit’s
tenants have been missing for about a week now

The house… Well, it has a bit of a, shall we say, ‘history’.
Needless to say, I’m plenty worried.
