The Errant Knights is one of the many side quests that you can complete within Ys IX: Monstrum Nox
It involves hunting down the remaining Gilbert Knights. It can be found and completed during Chapter 9 – Final Chapter
THE ERRANT KNIGHTS – SIDE QUEST
- CLIENT: Lucien
- DEADLINE: Short
- PRIORITY: 2/3 (2 Stars)
- REWARD: Slash Crown
- LOCATION: Dandelion – Bulletin Board
- CHAPTER: Chapter 9 – Final Chapter
- WALKTHROUGH:
- You can get this side quest after completing Belger’s Request (story related) and then heading to the Dandelion – Bulletin Board
- From there head to the Entertainment District (which is probably the easiest and fastest way to get to our actual destination). From the Entertainment District you want to follow the path to the Groaning Grotto
- It is here were you will meet up with Lucien, he will mention that the Hieroglyph Knights are now taking up a political stand now that Chatelard is no longer around. To add more worry to the situation it also seems that Gilbert has gone missing
- You will now be inside the Groaning Grotto in search of Gilbert, thankfully the locations you need to visit will be marked on the map
- The first location is easy enough to get to, just keep following the path. When you arrive you will be forced to fight a few of the Hieroglyph Knights
- The next location is perhaps a bit trickier to get to as you will need to traverse yourself to the lower levels of the area
- As we should of been here already though it shouldn’t be too tricky to get to, simply head into the area on the left from the last fight against the knights
- Then follow the path up and head on up the small wall here in order to reach the higher level
- Then follow that path up once again and around
- Then when you reach the area marked in the picture below, you can then safely drop to the lower levels as by then you should of safely arrived at your destination.
- You will now have to fight yet another set of knights
- Okay, we are almost there now just one more place to go and it is quite a straightforward route too, thankfully.
- Hello Gilbert…
- Needless to say the scene will eventually lead to a fight
- After the fight and the following few scenes the side quest will then end. You will receive a Slash Crown for your efforts
