Crystal of Atlan Swordsman is one of the five base classes. This warrior relies on their sword to deal melee damage. Let’s see what you must know about this class and its branching sub-classes!
Crystal of Atlan Swordsman – How to Play
The base Swordsman skill set includes:
- Blade Anchor.
- Mountain Crusher.
- Upward Slash.
- Sword Tornado.
- Shadow Strike.
- Charged Sword Dance.
Play Style and Rotation
The Swordsman is all about close-quarters combat, so your opener should be Blade Anchor to pull the targets in melee range. Mountain Crusher is another great opener, as it allows you to leap towards the target and deal damage. You can mix these two moves by leaping to a group of enemies with Mountain Crusher and drawing another in with Blade Anchor. Sword Tornado is a valid opener as well.

Once you are close to the enemy, follow with moves such as Upward Slash, Charged Sword Dance, and Shadow Strike for damage. You will deal a lot of damage, but keep in mind that you are not invincible. Pay attention to the telegraphs and use dodge to receive as little damage as possible.
Magiblade or Berserker – Which Is the Best Crystal Of Atlan Swordsman Sub-Class?
At level 15, you can choose one of the two sub-classes (specializations): Magiblade or Berserker. Until you finish the Awakening quest, you can switch between these two branches. Once that quest is completed, your choice is locked in and you need a Soul Stone, should you want to reset your class and skills.
Berserker – Tank with High DPS

The Berserker is a good choice for those wanting a more casual experience. The play style is somewhat slower-paced and it takes a few levels until you unlock the Ragefire skill. This passive causes the Berserker to lose HP when using skills and gain a damage-absorbing shield. Do not worry about the HP loss, as this is the bread and butter of this sub-class. The Berserker’s damage is indirectly proportional to their HP: the less HP you have, the more damage you deal.
Magiblade – Buff Uptime Is Crucial

The Magiblade relies on buffs to deal high damage. The priority is to keep these buffs up to maximize DPS. This makes Magiblade harder to play than Berserker. The play style is fast-paced and aggressive. A few mid-range skills are thrown into the mix as well.
The choice between Berserker and Magiblade is personal. Both sub-classes sit at top positions in the current tier list. They are viable choices, however, it all boils down to one’s preferences. The recommendation is to play them both before completing the Awakening quest to determine which one suits you better.
