Directive 8020 Humanitarian – How to Save Everyone

Directive 8020

In Directive 8020 there are many possible ways to play. Some of the endings will allow a few of the characters to live whilst other endings have no one living and, will, essentially, be the bad ending. For those who are wondering whether they can save everyone, the answer is yes there is a way to save all characters. By saving everyone, you’ll get the Humanitarian trophy achievement and unlock the good ending

How to Save Everyone in Directive 8020

There are eight chapters in Directive 8020. Decisions you make in each chapter are going to impact the type of ending you get. The same applies for making sure you don’t miss any QTE events. This is usually the norm when coming from a Dark Pictures Series, as seen in their past entries

Chapter 1 Little Star

  • In the first episode there is a QTE event during the Disaster Scene. When your playing as Carter, you need to try to grab Simms otherwise she will die.
  • Then during the Chased scene, make sure you get back to the crew quarters and you do not get caught.

Chapter 2 Best Laid Plans

  • When you’re at the terminal in Power Games, disabling the Landing computer will affect Stafford’s fate, but you’ll guarantee Mitchell’s survival.
  • Pick Accuse and then Contemplate when Eisele is speaking with Stafford.
  • During the Pursuit and decompression scene avoid Simms and when you’re at the airlock plead with her.

Chapter 3 The Sample

  • When you are at the Crash scene you need to make sure Stafford survives. Make sure you sit in your seat and are buckled in. This will ensure he survives.
  • If by chance you’re not strapped in, reboot the computer provided the fire control is disabled in the previous chapter. Then you need to pass some QTE’s before getting back to your seat.

Chapter 4 Dragnet

  • Make sure Cooper and Anders avoid the hostile crew member. Same goes for Young escaping the assailant.
  • After Stafford asks Eisele to allow the use of a fireman, you need to refuse.

Chapter 5 Mr Williams

  • The goal is to save Mitchell and Anders. Only choose to save Mitchel if you disabled the fire control system in episode 2. Anders will be rescued by someone else.
  • If you choose to save Anders only do so if the landing computer was disabled in episode 2.

Chapter 6 Hostile Takeover

  • Eisele or Cernan can die in this chapter, depending on your choices. Now, if Cernan was injured by William, make sure he avoids the alien him.
  • If Eisele was injured, do the same and avoids the alien version of Eisele. Just make sure neither of them get injured more than once!
  • Don’t shoot William.
  • At the point where you need to choose an Eisele to go into the scanner, pick the test option. Then choose to shoot Eisele.

Chapter 7 Revelation

  • After getting split up, you need to find Anders. You can talk to him via the comms. At the fork, go right to find Anders.
  • At two points Young and Cernan will have a chance to be caught. Stay hidden when promoted and run when you’re being chased.

Chapter 8 Come True

  • Take Williams with you. If you leave him, he’ll die.
  • Mitchell needs to be let in after getting locked out.
  • During the part where a ceiling beam is pushed down, make sure you get all the QTE otherwise Mitchell will die.
  • There will be a point where you have to help or run away from one of your team members. Help them and pass the QTE.
  • For the final part of the game, pass the QTE when Cooper throws the oxygen tank.

And that’s how you save everyone in Directive 8020!
