Finding All Lagniappes Requires Additional Playthrough

In order to find all of the hidden Lagniappes collectibles in Alone in the Dark 2024 you will need to complete an additional playthrough.

You can discover nearly half of the game’s Lagniappes during chapter 4, so you’ll want to be extra careful during this session. I’ll explain where each Lagniappe is located, plus the characters needed to get them. I’ve included one Lagniappe from Chapter 2, as it can only be retrieved by the player using a code from Chapter 4 and thus is meant to be grabbed on a second playthrough.

All Chapter 4 Lagniappes in Alone in the Dark 2024

Chapter 4 contains a total of 19 Lagniappes. While most of these can be found by either character, a few can only be found by Emily or by Edward. You’ll need to play the game twice in order to gather them all. If you still need to gather any of the other Lagniappes, I’ve listed their guides below.

Opera Playbill

Set: The Pirates of Pontchartrain

The Opera Playbill is found on one of the chairs in the Small Parlor.

Movie Script

Set: Death of the Author

Character: Edward or Emily

The Movie Script is in Cassandra’s room in a small box next to her typewriter.

Broken Spectacles Lagniappes

Lagniappes Set: Death of the Author

Character: Edward or Emily

The Broken Spectacles can be found in the sink of the bathroom next to Lottie’s room.

War Photo

Set: Dying with Dignity

Character: Emily

The War Photo can be found on the nightstand in Ruth’s Room.

The Flying Dutchman Lagniappes

Lagniappes Set: When It Makes You Worse

Character: Edward and Emily

The Flying Dutchman Lagniappe is a small picture that can be found on the sofa in the Reception room.

Jangling Shaker

Set: A Goat Without Horns

Character: Edward or Emily

Before heading into the Empty Room, go into the Grand Parlor through the door across from it. The parlor will transform into a club with the Jangling Shaker hidden behind the bar’s counter.

Ashes of Indigo

Set: Ashes of Indigo

Character: Unspeakable Cults

The Ashes of Indigo are found on one of the covered pieces of furniture in the Empty Room.

Do Not Disturb Lagniappes

Lagniappes Set: Prisoner of Ice

Character: Edward or Emily

This Lagniappe is found hanging on the door to Dr. Gray’s apartment.

Map of the Carribean

Set: The Pirates of Pontchartrain

Character: Edward and Emily

After entering Dr. Gray’s Office, you can grab a key in the shape of France. Return to the hallway Grace’s room is in and place the key into the globe to get the Map of the Caribbean.

Scapegoat Lagniappes

Lagniappes Set: Unspeakable Cults

Character: Edward and Emily

After entering the Infirmary, the Scapegoat Lagniappe will be on the first table on the right.

Tesselated Shard

Set: Prisoner of Ice

Character: Edward and Emily

After the Infirmary section, enter the Attic and head to the back right corner. There is a small room you can enter. The Tesselated Shard will be lying on the table in that room.

Pallid Mask

Set: The Pirates of Pontchartrain

Character: Edward or Emily

While on the boat, you’ll see the Pallid Mask on a chair. However, you’ll be unable to reach it across the gap in the floor. Continue down the boat until you come across a double-staircase. Take the staircase up to the top of the ship. There will be a hole at the front that will lead you to the room the Pallid Mask is in.

Broken Compass

Set: Vagabonds

Character: Edward and Emily

After walking down the ship’s double-staircase to the main floor, head into the red double doors. The Broken Compass will be sitting on a box in the room near the doors.

Box of Biscuits

Set: All the World’s A Stage

Character: Emily

After completing France 1918, you’ll be in a series of mysterious tunnels. After turning on the lights in the first large room, you’ll find the Box of Biscuits sitting on the edge of a desk in the corner of the room.

Toe Tag

Set: Dying with Dignity

Character: Emily

After the cutscene involving John’s body, return to it one last time to grab the Toe Tag.

Toy Talisman

Set: The World’s A Stage

Character: Edward and Emily

The Toy Talisman is on the floor right in front of the door in Dr. Gray’s apartment. Walk over it and tap “E” to pick it up.

Sallow Offering

Set: Prisoner of Ice

Character: Edward or Emily

After exiting the ship at the Coast of Greenland, the Sallow Offering will be hanging from the second tent on the right.

Curious Napkin

Set: All The World’s A Stage

Character: Edward

After entering the hotel door in the French Quarter, turn to the right to grab the Curious Napkin off of a table.

Profane Totem Lagniappes

Lagniappes Set: A Goat Without Horns

Character: Edward

After crossing under the Pearl River Bridge, turn to the left. There is a small bridge leading to a ruined house. The Profane Totem is in the floor of that house.

Second Playthrough Lagniappe Locations

Depending on whether you started as Emily or Edward, you’ll need to get the Chapter 4 Lagniappes for the other during a second playthrough. However, you’ll also be able to get one other Lagniappe the second time you play the game.

Alone in the Dark Lagniappes

Lagniappes Set: The Hartwood Curse

Character: Edward and Emily

This Lagniappe can only be found by opening the Clerk’s Office safe in Chapter 2, rather than in Chapter 4. Enter the combination “913” from your previous playthrough to get it.
