In this Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn From the Ashes Walkthrough, we’re covering the third Main Quest of the game. Port Solace is under attack and it’s up to Nor to defeat the leader and save the hamlet.
Head to the Hamlet In From The Ashes
After exiting the caves, Nor sees that the town before her is on fire. The nearby hamlet nearby, Port Solace, is on fire. The dead are swarming the streets. Enki explains that the Coalition didn’t stand a chance against the Dead.
The game introduces you to hamlets. They’re small communities, most of which have been seized by hostile forces. In order to free them, you must fight your way through the enemy force and kill the enemy leader.
Head towards Port Solace from the cave. Slide down the hill. You can jump the gap to get to the next platform or take the path on the right and go around the gap. Continue straight and you’ll run into your first enemy of the area. Go straight and jump into the gap below to kill more enemies. Take the path straight ahead that goes uphill and follow it.
Defeat Iron Crown In From The Ashes Flintlock
You’ll continue to run into more of the Dead along the way. Your main objective is to reach the leader. The path curves to the left. The leader, Iron Crown, is located in the brightly lit spot up ahead on the right.
Defeat Iron Crown in combat. He has a gun and a sword, and he’ll attack with the gun first. Dodge the projectile and get in close. You can usually get a few good hits in before he swings his sword. Once you’ve killed him, Port Solace is free.
Enter the Coffee Shop In From The Ashes Quest
Enter the coffee shop right in front of you. These are unlocked in each hamlet after they’ve been freed and act as checkpoints. You can speak to the host inside to restore your health, purchase new clothing, and gain a reward. The host will also give you side quests.
Speak to the host in the middle of the coffee shop to receive your reward. Once you’ve done that, talk to Baz on your right. Baz explains that he lost his leg in the blast and tells Nor that Haalin didn’t make it. Baz is taken aback by Enki’s ability to talk. He quickly recovers and points out that Enki cannot take on an entire army of the Dead. They need to go to the Three Peaks to find one. They prepare to travel.
