The Lucky Cat (Substory) Like A Dragon: Ishin
Like A Dragon: Ishin has many different substory quests that players can find and try to complete. One of which is The Lucky Cat
The Lucky Cat is an adorable optional substory quest that sees Ryoma confronting a man with a cat. Apparently this cat bestows good fortune on those that give offerings. A bit sceptical but perhaps this theory really does work?
SUBSTORY QUEST: The Lucky Cat
CHAPTER: Chapter 5 – The Iron Code
QUEST GIVER: Cat-Dependent Man
REWARDS: 150 Virtue
LOCATION: Karasuma Street (Rakunai)
GUIDE:
Head to Karasuma Street over in Rakunai. Then make your way towards the shrine. Here we will encounter a man with a cat. Apparently this man thinks that the cat will grant him good fortune. As a cat lover myself, aww this is adorable.
Apparently the gift that the man gave the cat was some money. The man simply replies and tells Ryoma that this is no ordinary cat. Claiming that it is the great lucky cat!
The man then mentions that this ‘great lucky cat’ bestows lucky blessings on anyone who leaves it an offering. Can I just say that the cat is adorable, even for a polygon? The noises it makes. Oh my gosh! Anyway, enough. The cat then turns around and seemingly reveals a lost charm that belonged to this man. Hmm. perhaps it really is a lucky cat after all.
When the man leaves proceed and speak with the cat. We will then be able to give the cat some money. Apparently the man gave him a thousand mon. Quite a bit. For a cat. Lets test our luck. Choose the top option (Give the cat money). Ryoma will give the cat a thousand mon, just like the previous man did. The cat will run off. Ryoma will assume that it did not work.
However, after regretting his decision to give the cat money, it then returns (Obtained Whitebait). It seems as though the cat actually wants it back. (Gave Whitebait back). That cat is so adorable. Top voice acting!
A new ‘Friendship Bond’ will trigger and the substory will come to an end.
DESCRIPTION
They say that those who believe in this cat will be saved. Not sure I agree, but the cat’s definitely a clever one.
