The Sword Nut (Substory) Like A Dragon: Ishin
Like A Dragon: Ishin has many different substory quests that players can find and try to complete. One of which is The Sword Nut substory
The Sword Nut is a rather short and simple optional substory quest. It sees Ryoma confronting, what he thought was a sword specialist. However, he is not as much of that but rather a huge fan of swords. This begins a new ‘Friendship Bond’.
SUBSTORY QUEST: The Sword Nut
CHAPTER: Chapter 3 – Mibu Wolves
QUEST GIVER: Odd Man (Kamiyama)
REWARDS: 150 Virtue
LOCATION: Sannocho (Rakugai)
GUIDE:
Head to ‘Sannocho’ in order to find an ‘Odd Man’. Though if you have played the previous Yakuza titles then you will know that this, so called odd man, is actually ‘Kamiyama’
Anyway he will want to inspect Ryoma’s sword. Ryoma will suspect that he is a blacksmith, maybe?
Upon inspection the ”odd man” will not really find anything wrong with the weapon. Ryoma will be disappointed that he did not get much more information about it. He assumed the man was a blacksmith and wanted some advice but didn’t get any. He questions why the man wanted to see the weapon in the first place. Apparently the man is a fan of sword weapons. He even collects katanas as a hobby.
After more dialogue The Sword Nut substory will then end. A new ”friendship bond” will begin.
DESCRIPTION
When even the sword-collector compliments your blade, you know you’ve got a good one. And he even wants to see my weapon again.
