Mama Ryoma (Substory) Like A Dragon: Ishin
Like A Dragon: Ishin has many different substory quests that players can find and try to complete. One of which is Mama Ryoma substory.
Mama Ryoma is a rather strange and awkward optional substory that sees Ryoma playing the mother to a group of children. After being forced to participate he is left with no other choice.
SUBSTORY QUEST: Mama Ryoma
CHAPTER: Chapter 5 – The Iron Code
QUEST GIVER: Energetic Girl, Calm Girl, Simple Boy
REWARDS: 350 Virtue
LOCATION: Mibu
GUIDE:
Run through Mibu and you should encounter several small children, 3 in total. The Energetic Girl, Calm Girl and Simple Boy. Apparently they are looking for a fourth person to play with them. In a game they call ‘House’.
At first Ryoma will refuse to play with them, then suddenly one of the kids will start crying. This then gives Ryoma a bad image with the local residents. He will then start to feel sorry for them and finally accept to play with them.
To make things even more awkward the children will give the role of the mother to Ryoma. Whilst the simple boy will be playing the husband. See, awkward. This is a very strange substory.
Anyway after even more awkwardness we will get some dialogue options to choose from;
Take-out
Vegetables, potatoes, and tofu
Sukiyaki
It, in truth, does not matter which option you go with. So choose whichever you feel like choosing.
The ”father” will then come in and more dialogue options will present themselves. Again it does not matter which option you go with. I went with ‘Just keep eating’ as this substory was really creepy and strange. The ”samurai warrior” will then arrive. Yes, just keep playing along. None of the dialogue options matter. Creepy and awkward.
This then completes the Mama Ryoma substory in Like A Dragon: Ishin
