Marvel’s Spider-Man : The Network Is Down (Side Mission) Guide

Side Missions are basically optional side objectives that players can unlock and complete if they fancy taking a break from the main story for a bit.

In order to find one of these side missions you will need to locate the small blue diamond type icons or markers that are scattered throughout the map. Once you have managed to find one simply speak to the quest giver, NPC, to begin.

A lot of these side missions either require you to fix networks, complete uploads, and of course defeat a ton of mean angry men along the way.

Each side mission has its own set of rewards, which usually includes additional XP. Completing all of these side missions will unlock the Friendly Neighbourhood Spiderman trophy achievement.

More side missions become available as you continue to progress through the main story.

This specific page will be focusing on completing the The Network Is Down side mission

SIDE MISSION: The Network Is Down
DISTRICT: Financial District

QUEST GIVER: Tower Tech

Speak with the Tower Tech to learn that someone is trying to jam the network, we now need to help stop this by finding the individuals that are responsible. This will mean that we now have multiple locations that we will need to travel to.

As soon as the mission begins the Jamming Devices Destroyed feature will appear on the screen, this is very important as it not only tells us how many jamming devices we have left to destroy, but it also helps locate them too. As you can see the mini map at the bottom of the screen is no longer working properly, the same applies if you head to the main map screen too, so this is why we need to pay attention.

Using the Jamming Devices Destroyed menu on the screen we can navigate to our required destinations. The blue squares represent which direction you will need to travel in, whilst the miles or meters and numbers represents the distance between your current location and your current destination.

When you reach the jamming devices you should begin to see radio waves or electromagnetic fields coming from them. Of course, each device will also be guarded by a bunch of thugs too. Deal with them and take out the jamming device.

After finding and destroying all 3 jamming devices the Tower Tech will then tell us that there is some unauthorized activity down by the docks. Now that the network is back however, the map should now be working once again. Meaning our next destination should be marked for us easily to locate. It is south east of the Financial District.

We will now be required to takedown multiple waves of enemies. Once you have defeated those the mission will end.
