Megabonk offers a great list of tomes that boost particular stats in-game. Depending on which one you picked, you can boost your size, movement speed, lifesteal, project count, attack speed and more. There is however an odd one and it’s the hardest tome to get in Megabonk. Getting it however is insanely worth it, so here’s the fastest way to get Chaos Tome in Megabonk plus some tips!
How to Get Chaos Tome in Megabonk
The way to unlock the Chaos Tome is quite different from most tomes in Megabonk, and it can definitely be challenging. To unlock the Chaos Tome, players must charge all Charge Shrines on a Tier 3 run across all three stages without leaving the charge zone.

The process is similar to how you unlock the Sucky Magnet item, but the difference is that this must be done on all stages of a Tier 3 run, meaning three stages instead of just one. To make things more difficult, the charging process must not be interrupted, and you cannot leave the zone. It may sound easy at first, but consider the large swarms of enemies and bosses that can trample you while charging. They can force you out of the zone, knock you away from it, or worse, kill you.
That said, here are some good tips that you can use to get Chaos Tome!

- Do the quest or achievement in the Forest map. The Forest is much easier than the Desert.
- There are only 15 Charge Shrines in every stage. Make sure to count them so you can keep track of your progress. If you don’t want to track them manually, you can press ESC, count the shrine logs, and subtract 3.
- Don’t pick up or banish the Beacon, as it adds 2 more shrines, which means it’ll take longer to finish the run.

- Wrench is one of the must-haves for this run. It charges shrines faster and, as a bonus, increases the rewards.
- Do not activate any shrines during an incoming swarm unless you can kill enemies quickly. This occurs at the 6:00 and 3:00 marks.
- Use characters with high movement speed, such as Calcium and Tony McZoom. Also, learn how to bunny hop so you can cover more ground faster.
- Avoid charging shrines when there’s a boss or an enemy that can knock you out of the zone. Deal with them first.
- Utilize power-ups! If there’s a nearby Nuke or Time Stop power-up, use it. They can either eliminate nearby threats or freeze them while you’re activating the shrine.
- While the quest doesn’t require finishing Tier 3 all the way to the final boss, you still need to farm in the early game so you won’t die easily and can defeat the Stage 1 and Stage 2 bosses on time.
- Move fast! Each stage has a time limit, so improve your movement to reach all the shrines quicker.
- Be mindful of your surroundings, and make sure not to accidentally leave a shrine zone.
