Megabonk has plenty of items that you can use at your disposal. These can either increase your stats, improve your survivability, or allow you to gain more silver or gold coins. There is, however, an odd one out that may confuse some players about how they’re going to benefit from it. Meet Kevin.
Kevin is an item that has a strange effect. While lifesteal and health regeneration restore your HP, Kevin does the opposite, it inflicts damage on you instead. Crazy, right? Interestingly, many players have found a good use for it, and it actually works. With that in mind, here’s how to get Kevin and how to use it.
How to Get Kevin in Megabonk
In order to get Kevin in Megabonk, you’ll need to have three Leeching Crystals in a single run.
A single run doesn’t mean you have to collect them all within one stage. For example, you can obtain one Leeching Crystal in each of the three stages in Tier 3 of either the Forest or the Desert, and it’ll still count.

Before getting Kevin, you’ll first need to unlock the Leeching Crystal. This involves leveling up a Regen Tome to level 8. After obtaining the Leeching Crystal and activating it using silver coins, start another game and collect three Leeching Crystals.
Now, this part requires a bit of luck. You’ll either have to get Leeching Crystals naturally or hope to come across a blue (uncommon) microwave, which allows you to clone items.
Once you’ve done all that, the achievement will appear on the top-left corner of the screen, and you’ll then be able to unlock Kevin with silver coins.
How does Kevin work in Megabonk
Kevin is an item that has a 25% chance of punching you whenever you hit an enemy. This means you’ll occasionally take damage yourself. It cannot, however, kill you.
This can seem disadvantageous since taking unnecessary damage can easily lead to your death. But it can actually work and even be great when paired with the right items. For example, pair it with the Golden Shield, an item that grants gold whenever you take damage.
Aside from that, there are several other items that work well with it, such as Electric Plug, Coward’s Cloak, Toxic Barrel, Holy Book (if you have healing or lifesteal), and Mirror.
