Megabonk Katana – How to Find and Unlock It

Megabonk offers no shortage of great weapons, whether one prefers long-range combat or close-quarters brawls. Among these is the Katana, Ninja’s primary weapon. It’s surprisingly elusive, especially considering the conditions required to obtain it. To get your hands on the Katana, you’ll first need to complete its quest. Here’s how to find the Katana in Megabonk.

How to get Megabonk Katana

The Katana is one of the tougher weapons to obtain in Megabonk, and not because it requires defeating thousands of enemies or leveling up a tome. Instead, getting the Katana comes down entirely to luck.

According to its quest description, it has only a 5% chance to drop when breaking a Tumbleweed on Desert Stage 1. That’s all the odds you have, just 5%. Personally, it took me several runs and TONS of patience before finally getting it.

To begin, enter the Desert map and start looking for Tumbleweeds. These are round plants that roll across the open terrain. They spawn in random spots, so it’s best to stay alert.

It’s recommended to use characters with high movement speed, such as Calcium or Monke, to cover ground faster. Once you spot a Tumbleweed, approach it and press E to destroy it. Depending on your luck, it might drop the Katana immediately. If it does, you’ll see it lying on the ground. Don’t forget to pick it up! Otherwise, you’ll have to keep trying.

Keep in mind that the Katana can only be obtained on the first stage of the Desert map. If you’re already on the second stage, the drop changes to the Shotgun instead.
