In Megabonk, there are several quests and achievements that players can complete. Some of them reward players with silver coins, characters, weapons, and items. One of these quests is “Find and defeat Bandit in the Desert.” Completing this quest is the first step toward unlocking one of Megabonk’s strongest characters, Bandit. While some players might manage to get this achievement fairly quickly, others may be unsure how to start. Here’s how to find Bandit in the Desert in Megabonk.
Megabonk Where to Find Bandit
Players can find Bandit by entering the Desert map. For new players, the Desert map must be unlocked first.
After entering the second map, the goal is to find a gray statue of a man wearing a hat and cape, one that closely resembles Bandit himself. Naturally, the locations of shrines, power-ups, chests, and boss portals are randomized, so the statue’s position will also vary. If you’re lucky, you might spawn near it; otherwise, you’ll need to scour the entire map to track it down.
Unfortunately, there are no indicators that lead to the statue’s location, nor is it marked anywhere on the map.
Once you’ve found Bandit, interact with the statue by pressing E. This will summon Bandit along with his weapon, Dexecutioner. The fight is much easier if you’re using a ranged character such as Robinette, Calcium, or Fox, since Bandit often deals damage at close range.
After defeating him, you’ll successfully unlock the Find and defeat Bandit in the Desert achievement!
How to Unlock Bandit in Megabonk
Unfortunately, unlocking Bandit doesn’t end with just earning the achievement. To actually obtain him, you’ll also need to acquire his weapon, Dexecutioner.
Dexecutioner is unlocked by completing a quest that requires defeating 12,500 enemies using the Sword. Once that’s done, head to the Characters menu and unlock Bandit using Silver Coins.
