For Fox, here are the best weapons, tomes and items that you must prioritize.

Fox, being a starter character, is simple and easy to use. He uses long-range attacks through his main weapon, the Firestaff, and his passive ability increases Luck per level. Given that he likes long-range combat, it’s best to pair weapons that either deal damage from a distance, like the Bananarang, Lightning Staff, or Revolver, or any AOE options, which is good against large swarms, or defensive ones like the Aegis. Melee weapons like the Sword and Katana won’t do much for him.

For tomes, the XP Tome is a good priority for nearly everyone, including Fox. Since Fox scales with Luck, he can easily get his hands on rare, epic, and legendary items faster. Other good tomes also include Quantity, which increases the projectile count; Cooldown for attack speed; Damage Tome for damage; and Size Tome so that each projectile covers more area, among others.
