Ghost Of Yotei Shrine Climbs – How To Unlock The Golden Mask

Ghost of Yotei Shrine Climbs are parkour challenges that reward charms. Completing all 13 shrine climbs rewards the Golden Mask cosmetic and counts as progress for the Body, Mind, and Spirit trophy. Alongside both Bamboo Strikes and Hot Springs

Ghost of Yotei Shrine Climbs Locations and Guide

Playing the Song of the Shrines guides Atsu to the shrine locations, so make sure to learn it. The climbing path begins at the torii gate. You must follow the path to reach the shrine at the top. Pray at the shrine to trigger a short cutscene and receive the charm.

Yotei Grasslands Shrines

There is a total of 3 shrine climbs over in the Yotei Grasslands. Containing charms such as; Charm of Kanayago, Charm of Amenowakahiko and Mother’s Charm and Father’s Charm

Fall’s Rest Shrine – Charm of Kanayago

Follow the stairs, climb up, take the stairs up again, and make a left to discover a climbing path. Follow this linear path, climbing and grappling as you go. Squeeze through the gap and grapple to the right when you exit the cave. Keep going up and you will arrive at the Fall’s Rest Shrine.

Blooming Ridge Shrine – Charm of Amenowakahiko

Follow the path of white flowers, leading into a cave. Use the climbing path inside the cave and advance using the grapple points that take you to the summit.

Mount Yotei Shrine – Mother’s Charm and Father’s Charm

Jump on the tree branches and grapple up to cross the gap. Use the ledges on the left to go up and enter the cave. Keep going up and grapple onto the cable as you slide down. Take the climbing path to the right after the stairs. Notice the grapple point on the left side of the broken bridge. Use the grapple points, climb up, and follow the path to reach the shack. Use the grapple cable to go left, jump on the tree branch, and reach the cliffs. Jump across, follow the stairs, and use the tree branches to advance. Take the stairs on the other side, slide down at the blue flag, and grapple onto the cable. Go left and follow the snowy path to reach Mount Yotei Shrine. Obtaining the parents’ charms unlocks the Inheritance trophy.

Ghost of Yotei Shrine Climbs – Ishikari Plain and Oshima Coast

A further 4 shrines are discovered over at the Ishikari Plain and Oshima Coast. Containing charms such as; Charm of Hachiman, Charm of Izanagi, Charm of Homusubi, and the Charm of Takemikazuchi

Azure Wind Shrine – Charm of Hachiman

Atsu will visit the Azure Wind Shrine during The Oni main tale. It’s an unmissable stage in the main quest. (Story Related)

Sun’s Peak Shrine – Charm of Izanagi

Use the grapple point on the left, jump down, walk across using the cable, and climb up. Squeeze through the gap to the left of the broken bridge, keep to the left, climb up, grapple right, and use the ledge to reach the other side, where you will find the Sun’s Peak Shrine after another short climb.

Winding Tears Shrine – Charm of Homusubi

Use the climbing path to the right of the broken bridge. Keep going until you reach the cliff’s edge. Notice the climbing rocks. Make a right after you exit the cave, go left after the waterfall, and take the grapple point as you slide down. Follow the linear path, grappling a few more times, to discover the Winding Tears Shrine.

Budding Grace Shrine – Oshima Coast (Charm of Takemikazuchi)

Go right after the stairs and ascend. Notice the path down before the broken bridge. Go all the way down and make your way back up. Use the grappling spot and the hook to break the rocks once you land. There’s still a long way to the Budding Grace Shrine, but the path is linear.

Tokachi Range Shrines

We can find 3 more over in the Tokachi Range. With charms such as; Charm of Masakado, Charm of Futsunushi and Charm of Kibitsuhiko

Amber Respite Shrine – Charm of Masakado

The path to the summit is fairly straightforward. Use the grappling and climbing spots to go up and discover the Amber Respite Shrine.

Faithful Leap Shrine – Charm of Futsunushi

Advance using the grappling spots and tree branches. Use the hook to break the branch and keep going up. Climb on the right after you exit the cave, before the broken bridge, and cross the tree trunk. Go uphill on the left, use the grappling hook, jump to the right, and go left. Break the branch and use the narrow bridges to reach the grappling spot. Go left when you reach the broken bridge. Follow this path using the hook and cables to reach the Faithful Leap Shrine.

Risen Fog Shrine – Charm of Kibitsuhiko

Follow the linear path and jump across when you reach the broken bridge. Notice the tree on the right. Use the hook to break it and use it to advance. Go across the tree trunk bridge on the left. Break the tree branch and use it to reach the Risen Fog Shrine.

Nayaro Ridge and Teshio Ridge Shrines in Ghost of Yotei

There will be another 3 Shrine Climbs over in the Nayaro Ridge and Teshio Ridge regions. Containing charms such as; Charm of Yamatotakeru, Charm of Masaka and Charm of Sukunahikona

Patient Frost Shrine – Nayaro Ridge (Charm of Yamatotakeru)

Follow the linear path and climb up using the rocks on the right. As you slide down, after the collapsing bridge, use the hook and enter the cave and take the climbing path inside. Notice the grappling spot to the right of the broken bridge. Use the hook on the rocks to create a path to the Patient Frost Shrine.

Enduring Hold Shrine – Teshio Ridge (Charm of Masaka)

Use the hook as you slide down and climb up. Go right after the next slide. After another slide area, go left and cross over using the cable. Ascend, use the cable to get to the other side and then the grappling spots. Cross the frozen lake and squeeze through twice. Climb up, cross the plank bridge, swing across, and advance. Exit, make a right, ascend, and you will find the Enduring Hold Shrine.

Chilled Peak Shrine – Teshio Ridge (Charm of Sukunahikona)

Ignore the torii gate above and squeeze through the gap on the left. Use the hook before the frozen water area. Use the grappling spot after you exit the second cave and immediately jump to the right. Slide down, cross the frozen lake, and enter the cave on the right. Climb on the rock to reach the grappling spot after you exit. Ascend, squeeze through, and go right, following the snowy path to the Chilled Peak Shrine.
