Reanimal Masks – How to Complete the Beneath the Mask Trophy

One of the trophies in Reanimal is the Beneath the Mask trophy achievement. You need to go through and find all 18 masks, but doing so will also allow you to find the five critters since they are tied to the masks.

How to Complete the Beneath the Mask Trophy in Reanimal

There are 18 masks you need to find in the game. Mask 16, however, is tied to the hidden statues, so make sure you complete that during a full playthrough first.

Mask #1 (Chapter 1)

During the first chapter, after climbing up a few ladders, you’ll turn left near a crate and go through the door. You’ll find yourself outside. Squeeze through the gap in the brick wall to get the first mask.

Mask #2 (Chapter 1)

Enter the room after you get past this pipe. Go into one of the lockers, which acts as a secret entrance. At the far right in the bathroom is the mask near the sink.

Mask #3 (Chapter 1)

On the left of the trolley, there will be a door (two actually, but go to the one closest to you). Head up the stairs and turn the corner to go into another room. The mask is on the ground.

Mask #4 (Chapter 2)

In the room with mannequins, go around the corner to find a hole in the wall. Inside is the pig mask.

Mask #5 (Chapter 2)

For mask 5, you also find one of the critters (a traffic cone). Leave the cinema and go down and then to the right, into one of the buildings. Once you get inside, a critter will scurry around. Defeat it and grab the mask.

Mask #6 (Chapter 3)

In the field of flowers is where you will find the second critter and the 6th mask. Go towards the scarecrow. If you hit it, a critter appears that you have to defeat.

Mask #7 (Chapter 4)

Go past the petrified statues into a small passage. The third critter you find will scurry out into the previous room. Defeat it.

Mask #8 (Chapter 4)

When you enter this room, you’ll find a bunch of enemies. There is a character with a crown on his head sitting on top of a makeshift throne. After climbing down and going behind the throne, you need to defeat him. Make sure you attack as soon as he is off the throne (the only time you can attack him, actually). You need to be quick, or he leaves, forcing you to restart.

Mask #9 (Chapter 4)

Head down the corridor. Squeeze through the gap to find a plant. Pull it out and then put it on.

Mask #10 (Chapter 6)

Head inside and go to the door on the far end of the room. You need to squeeze through. Climb all the way down the ladder to the beach. At the far end of the beach, there is critter number 4 and the next mask. Defeat it.

Mask #11 (Chapter 6)

Drive behind the sea monster, clear the mines, follow the cliffs right to the small beach, park, and grab the mask.

Mask #12 (Chapter 6)

After the underwater creature leaves and you unequip your diving suits, put on the one further to the right. This counts as mask 12.

Mask #13 (Chapter 6)

Following the previous mask, put on the mask on the left. This counts as mask 13.

Mask #14 (Chapter 7)

There is a door on the far right. Go into the small entrance to find the mask.

Mask #15 (Chapter 7)

When you are in the trenches, there will be a bunch of planks you can break. Break them and go inside to get the mask.

Mask #16 (Chapter 7)

Following the previous mask, leave the room and continue straight down the trenches. There will be a broken set of planks you can squeeze through. However, there is a prerequisite for this mask.

Mask 16 can only be found after you find all five statues, in either your current playthrough or a previous one. When you enter the room, the mask will be there, provided you got all the statues.

Mask #17 (Chapter 7)

Leave the elevator, and go down the path. Enter the operating room, and at the far end, there is a hidden entrance under one of the counters. Go inside to grab the mask.

Mask #18 (Chapter 8)

The last mask will also get you the last critter. Enter the area and go over to the oven. If you interact with it, a critter will scurry out. Head back into the other room (the shooting range) and defeat it.

For finding and killing all five critters, you get the Critter Kill Hit trophy achievement, while finding all 18 masks in Renimal will get you the Beneath the Mask trophy.
