The Insatiable Hunger Myth in Nioh 3 is an earlier side quest in the game. It brings to light some interesting family dynamics for the ghosts in question!

How to Complete the Insaitable Hunger Myth in Nioh 3

From the Prospect hill shrine, go forward and look for a dead body on a wooden plank. It’s hard to miss given it’s a body attached to a piece of wood with a ghost hovering near it.

Talk to the ghost. The ghost needs you to go to the ferry which can be found in a fishing village It’s straight ahead from where the ghost is.

Defeat any enemies along the way before you get to the fishing village. There will likely be a few.

In the fishing village, there is some hay between two houses. Go through the gap and approach the corpse. You’ll have to retrace Taro’s steps from there to find his house, where a surprise in the form of an enemy will be waiting for you.

Leave the fishing village and go straight. When you reach the spot above (between the large tree and the rock), take a left. If you look closely, there is a house in the distance, which is where you have to go.

A very large yokai known as the Gaki Chief lurks near the house. It looks intimidating on the surface because of it’s large size, but looks can be deceiving. The boss is very slow and doesn’t have any special attacks.

Your best bet of defeating the enemy is to dodge when he attacks and then launch an attack of your own. Best to focus on hitting the crystals on his legs to cause the most damage.

After defeating the Yokai, head into one of the houses. There will be a ghost along with a chest. Talk to the ghost to complete the Insatiable Hunger Myth in Nioh 3.
