The Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance The Demon of the Spring Quest is given to you by the same Mermaid that gave you the Cursed Mermaid Quest. This guide covers the mermaid’s location, where to find Anahita, and how to defeat her.
Beginning the The Demon of the Spring Quest
To find the Mermaid, head south from the Hamamatsucho Leyline Fount. Go under the collapsed bridge and continue straight until you reach a dead end, where the Mermaid is waiting. She needs your help finding Anahita, the Persian goddess of water, who may be able to lift her curse. She tells you that Anahita usually appears as the source of water on the mountain peak, although she does not know where that is. The mermaid leaves it up to you to find the location.
Where to find Anahita
The fastest way to find Anahita is to fast travel to Omarimon. While facing the portal, go left and head up the narrow path. It opens up to a wide desert. Once you reach this point, go right, make a U-turn, and head up the steep sandy hill.
Part of the cliff to the right of the trees juts out. Go to the very end of the cliff and jump down. Continue straight, following the path, until you reach a body of water. This is where Anahita is located.
Talk to Anahita and tell her why you have come. She says she will lift the curse if you can defeat her in battle. Say “Yes”. She asks if you are ready, say “Yes” again.
How to Defeat Anahita
Anahita is Level 18 and she casts ice magic. You should be a Level 18 or higher when fighting her and having resistance to ice will give you an advantage. She is susceptible to Fire and Electric attacks, so bring along party members who have those abilities.
Once she is defeated, return to the mermaid to lift the curse and complete the quest. You’re rewarded with Femme Talisman, EXP, and Anahita becomes available for fusion.
