Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance: The Succession of Ra Quest is given to you by Isis, who is located in Odaiba, near the same place you fought Khonsu during the Egyptians’ Fate quest. This quest follows the story of Miyazu and Khonsu as it comes to an end.
Beginning the Succession of Ra Quest
To begin the quest, meet with Isis. She will ask you to stop Khonsu, who is trying to gain the power of the sun god and become Ra. He is doing all of this to save Miyazu. After she reveals this, you can ask three different questions in any order.
- “Is Miyazu’s life in danger?”
- “What’s wrong with saving her life?”
- “What’s special about Miyazu?”
Isis explains that the sickness will kill Miyazu. Khonsu has been preventing this by giving her some of his Magatsuhi but that has reached its limit. The only way to save her is to turn her into a god.
When the pop-up to accept the quest appears, select “Yes”.
Where to Find Khonsu in The Succession of Ra Quest
Your next objective is to go to the Fairy Village. To fast travel there, select Leyline Crossing, Shinagawa, then Fairy Village.
From the leyline, turn right and head straight. Cross the river and you’ll come across a ruined building. Go slightly left to the other buildings. A dialogue prompt appears, letting you know that you may have to fight Khonsu. It’ll ask if you’re ready. Select “Move Closer” to continue.
How to Defeat Khonsu
A cutscene with dialogue between Miyazu and Khonsu plays. When Khonsu reveals to both of you that Miyazu will become a god, you have three dialogue options.
- “You need to stop.”
- “This isn’t what she wants.”
- “….”
No matter what you pick, you’ll have to fight Khonsu. He has Thoth and Anubis on his side as well. You have to defeat all three.
Khonsu is weak to ice, blocks fire, and is resistant to lightning. It’s best to defeat his allies first and then focus all your attacks on him.
Kill or Spare Khonsu
Once you’ve defeated him, you have 3 options.
- “Deal the final blow.”
- “Stop Khonsu.”
- “Do nothing.”
No matter what you pick, the overall story and rewards are not affected. Dealing the final blow will kill him and Miyazu becomes a god just like he wanted. The other two options spare him, and you can persuade him not to make Miyazu a god so she can live her normal life.
You receive 170000 EXP and Large Glory Crystal x2 as rewards.
