How the Solasta 2 Character Creation System Works
The Character Creation system presents multiple customization options for each character. The goal is to create a mixed team where all members complement each other.
Which Classes to Pick
Solasta 2 classes define a character’s play style and role in the party. A balanced party should include:
- A melee damage dealer or a tank – Fighter or Paladin.
- A utility class – Rogue.
- A support character – Cleric.
- A ranged damage dealer – Wizard or Sorcerer.
You will want to go with Paladin or Fighter for your melee character. The Paladin’s Charisma will come in handy in dialogues where you have to intimidate or persuade. They can also cast spells and heal. The Fighter fills a traditional tank role. The Rogue is the best choice for the utility position. They can disarm traps, unlock chests, and use both melee and ranged weapons. The Cleric is a support character that can inflict damage and heal. For the ranged damage dealer position, pick either Wizard or Sorcerer. If you went with the Fighter, pick Sorcerer to have a Charisma-based class in your party. The Wizard is an Intelligence-based class with damage-dealing and utility spells.
Solasta 2 Character Creation Choices – Ancestry and Background
Ancestry refers to the character’s race:
- Human. A versatile and resourceful race that goes well with any class.
- Dwarf. A tough and resilient race suited for tanks or front line characters.
- Elf. The High Elf race works with Wizards and Paladins. The Sylvan Elf race is recommended for Rogues.
- Halfling. The stealth and luck bonuses make this race best suited for Rogues and Dexterity-based classes.
Background choices offer a series of perks that can have a great impact on your character. Notice the stats and match them with the character’s stats. For example, the Aristocrat background has Strength, Constitution, and Charisma, which complement the Paladin class. The Background also includes skills. Try to have a good mix of skills and be aware of skill overlap.
Abilities, Proficiencies, and Spells
The Abilities tab lets you invest points in your preferred stats:
- Strength determines physical power.
- Dexterity determines agility and reflexes.
- Wisdom represents your awareness and intuition.
- Charisma impacts your interactions.
- Intelligence measures mental power.
- Constitution influences HP and stamina.
Distribute points to match the character’s stats. Proficiencies allow you to pick ability perks, weapon masteries, and languages. Match weapon masteries with the character’s fighting style. Pick different languages for all characters. The Spells tab lets you pick the starting spells. They should match the character’s role in the party. The Solasta 2 Character Creation system also includes visual customization. Use these options to design your party members’ appearance in any way you like.
