The Outer Worlds 2 Pets – Unlocking the Hatchling Catcher Trophy

The Outer Worlds 2 has several trophies throughout the game and some of them require you to find collectables! For example, the Hatchling Catcher Trophy in Outer Worlds 2 requires you to collect several pets to claim the trophy.

How to get the Hatchling Catcher Trophy in The Outer Worlds 2

The Hatchling Catcher Trophy in The Outer Worlds 2 is pretty easy to get! You just need to collect give pets for your ship and most of these can be bought throughout the game from vendors so you don’t even have to look far.

Once you have five pets, you’ll get the Hatchling Catcher trophy achievement!

List of Pets in The Outer Worlds 2

There are 12 pets you can get in the game but remember, you only need five for the trophy. However, it doesn’t hurt to collect them all… kind of like Pokémon! Many of them are bought in shops with some of the pets having a mission tied to them.

Only one pet can roam the ship at a time so choose wisely. If you want to change the pet just go to the feeder in the main room of the quest.

Lucy The Sick Crabble Pet

If you go to Paradise Island on Eden, you’ll discover Lucy a poor sick crabble. She can be found at Crabble farm but you can’t just get her. First talk to the rancher. If you manage to cure Lucy, you get her as a pet!

Best way to do this is by either passing a skill check requiring Medical 5 or using a trauma kit on her.

Hover Drone

If you go to the Euphoria Coast Automech Repair Center on Eden’s Paradise Island, you can by the Hover Drone for 1k bits.

Zyranium Mantiwasp

Go to Auntie’s Choice Shop in Fort Endurance found on Golden Ridge. You can purchase this pet for 2k bits.

Gold Canid & Raptidon Juvenile

Both of these pets can be purchased on Auntie’s Choice Ship Undisputed Claim. Buy the Raptidon Juvenile for 4k bits and the Gold Canid for 5k bits.

Crabble Hatchling

At Laplace’s Garden on the Cloister, go to Scientician’s Surplus and buy the pet for 3k bits.

Ursopod Cub

Found at The Cloister’s east coast, follow the coast past the Excogitation Chapel to a round cave with the Frightened Ursopod Cub. However, to get it you need to complete one of three actions:

• If you have Speech, level 7, you can pass a skill check!
• If Inez is with you she can soothe the cub.
• Feed it three pieces of Boneless Meatless Sprat.

Cystpig

You’ll find this guy on the Cloister and the only way to reach it is by Inez’s companion quest: A Most Extraordinary Specimen. Then when you’re in the Frozen Maw, follow Inez to the Algid Menagerie. Unlock the right-side cage (Lockpick 2 + mag-pick) to get a Cystypig pet.

Icy Mantiwasp

If you’re in Cloister, go to Winter’s Grasp. Purchase this pet for 3k bits.

Raptidon Juvenile Pet – The Hatchling Catcher

At Praetor’s west building, go south along the cliffs to the pond and open the pod for a Starving Raptidon Juvenile.

Electric Mantiwasp Pet – The Hatchling Catcher

While you’re on Praetor, go to Auntie’s Border Camp. At the Military Supply Surplus you can buy this pet for 3k bits.

Premium Edition Sprat – The Hatchling Catcher

The golden Sprat can be easily found if you purchased the premium edition of the game! Otherwise, it will remain out of reach. You get it automatically after unlocking at least one other pet

And just like that, you’ve caught them all!
