The Sinking City 2 – How to Solve the Lorelei Lock

The Lorelei Lock is the strange three-part lock blocking the basement of the Devil’s Reef Hotel. There is no code to enter here. Instead, you need to find three Keys for the Lorelei Lock, each hidden inside a Lorelei Chest somewhere in the hotel. Here’s how to solve the Lorelei Lock in The Sinking City 2.

How to Unlock the Lorelei Lock

To unlock the Lorelei Lock, you first need to collect all three Lorelei Lock Keys hidden inside Lorelei Chests around the Devil’s Reef Hotel.

You can find the lock after entering the Safe Room, using the other door and dropping down the stairs.

Get the Lorelei Tokens

Before you can open the chests, you need the Staff Key.

Progress through the hotel until you reach the third floor, enter Room 304 and approach the keys hanging from the corpse. The body will fall through the floor. Enemies will spawn here, and it’s best to finish them off rather than walk away from them.

Head back down to the second floor, enter Room 201, use the door on the right then leave using the door to reach the hallway. Enter Room 204, go tothe bathroom and slide into the gap.

You’ll find a hole on the floor, but before that, you should unlock the door first from the inside. Once done, drop down to the hole and take the key from the corpse. This brings you to the bar where you can also find the Safe room.

Return to the second floor through the red stairs and use it to open the Staff Room at the end of the corridor. Pick up the three Lorelei Tokens inside.

Find All Three Lorelei Lock Keys

Each Lorelei Token opens one chest:

Room 203

The closest key is in Room 203. Head into Room 201 first, then take the door on the right to reach 203. Spend a token to open the Lorelei Chest, but be ready as a damaging sound effect kicks in immediately. You need to destroy four sound-emitting devices before it becomes a problem. Three are scattered around the main room, while the fourth is tucked inside the bathroom. Once they are all destroyed, head back to the chest and grab the first key.

Room 303

Go up to the third floor and unlock Room 303 with the Staff Key. Use another Lorelei Token on the chest sitting on the table and take the second key.

First-Floor Bar

Return downstairs to the bar area. The final Lorelei Chest is sitting on a table near the area where you previously collected the Staff Key. Use your last token and take the third key.

Open the Lorelei Lock

With all three keys, return to the Safe Room on the first floor. Go through it, take the door on the left, and head downstairs into the basement.

Interact with the Lorelei Lock and insert all three triangular keys. The door will finally open, giving you access to the Generator Room and the next section of the Devil’s Reef Hotel.
