The Ventilation System Puzzle in The Sinking City 2 is a required puzzle that you’ll need to solve to get to the next part in the game. You need to line up the arrows in the green zones on the controls which will take a little finagling.

How to Solve the Ventilation System Puzzle in The Sinking City 2
The Ventilation puzzle is located in the basement of Devil’s Reef. You will not be able to get there right away, but once you open the Lorelei lock, it will be accessible to you. It’s hard to miss the generator once you enter the room. Approach so you can begin to solve the puzzle.
This is a pretty easy puzzle for you to solve. You just need to press the buttons in the correct order so you can properly vent the gas in the room.
Start with the lever set to blue. Press the left button twice, then the middle one four times. Finally, press the one on the right twice. Don’t panic when nothing happens because you’re not quite done with this puzzle yet—just one more step to go.
Now go back to the lever and switch it over to red. Press the button on the left once and the ventilation system will kick in! With the system working properly, you’ll be able to go to the Trap Room. Once you’re there, you can rescue Lorelei. If you want, take a moment to look around and loot. There might be some useful items nearby.
